Four months later..

As I'm looking back on this custom scenario and playing it again, I can definitely state a couple obvious things.

1. Yes this was quite rushed, and I mean quite. I was chatting away to some friends on Discord and one of them said "hey yk you should make a scenario in 24 hours". Being stupidly new to custom scenarios I went ahead and did it solely due to the fact that I've wanted to make a custom scenario for a while, just simply didn't know where to start. Definitely kicking myself in the butt over this because I could have absolutely made this better, but I was given a challenge so I did it and I was proud of myself for a while.

2. I just can't help but laugh at how I did certain things. I think I went with the purple colour to be "quirky and different", but I don't really think that fits it anymore, if it ever even did in the first place? Not sure what my thought process was exactly there. Also unsure why I made DNA be gained more and random countries get infected every time you evolved the symptoms, as well as made the revolutions at the start a bit on the cheap end.. I don't like that LOL.

3. I know I can speak for some or most people that the rise in infectivity/severity/lethality should have been more gradual. I agree, too. I remember struggling on that moment too, thinking on how fast I should make it, but every time I adjusted the numbers, it never looked gradual so I gave up on that bit and submitted it like that-- absolutely my error with it. Another error I found is, due to every country being infected almost immediately after you evolve it a couple times, it's harder to gain DNA after all the countries are infected, and there's not even a speck of lethality until you get to stage two of the petals forming in the body. Really should not have made it to where everyone "dies" at once.

4. As I was doing all the research I could on this fictional disease, I learned along the way that there were many versions of this said disease, making it just a bit difficult to stick to one. I believe I took two versions(The more known version of coughing up petals and eventually flowers, and the other known version where flowers/roots start to grow in the respiratory system.) and tried to mash them together. Playing it back again, I don't believe that it worked out as well as I thought it did.

Summary.

All in short, I really do think the Hanahaki Disease could definitely work in Plague Inc, just definitely not this version I did. Very scuffed, too many weird issues. If I was never given a time limit, I absolutely could have made this 5x better. Maybe even 10x better. I ABSOLUTELY want to make this better, and I hope to soon. At least this time around, I won't be trapped under a 24 hour time limit, and I can work on it as long as I want to make sure it's perfect and accurate.

I wanna definitely give out a big thank you to Pravus for playing this very scuffed custom scenario. Really never thought something crazy like that to happen, only for me to find out almost a month late that he even made a video on it lol. Thanks for playing it, man. I really appreciate it.

That being said, Hanahaki Disease 2.0 will be starting to be created soon. I hope to do way better this time around. Thank you to everyone else who played this custom scenario. Love you all.
