v2.8 - More Quality of Life


Nerfs:
  • Up Air knockback scaling .8 -> .4

Changes:
  • Aerial Down Special wall pinning now sends opponents slowly flying down
  • Dash Attack's starting hit visual is changed
  • Aerial Down Special wall cling will only work once, but will send you further away for a slightly better recovery

Updates:
  • Each color now has a unique intro!
  • New voice lines added:
    - Turn around ending kick of Jab
    - Dash Attack
    - Up Air
    - Back Air
    - Down Tilt
    - Aerial Down Special wall pinning opponents
    - Secret Taunt will now be properly disabled if the character select button is turned off
    - Secret Taunting with Early Access color now has it's bitcrushed sound
  • Dash Attacking off near ledge would cause the Dash Attack to continue off ledge, this was unintentional, but now it will launch you back up if you do not hit an enemy
  • Down Air will now make Mecha bounce upwards when hitting the sweatspot of the attack, and any horizontal movement will add to the bounce

Fixes:
  • Foresight should now be fixed, no longer making Mecha invincible forever after it activates
  • Sounds when using Early Access color would randomly start playing normal sounds, this is fixed
  • Getting hurt will now have a cooldown, so hurt sounds don't overlap
  • Down Special Lightspeed Attack should now properly do consecutive attacks correctly
  • Fixed the individual character color's boosters discrepancy
  • Little red energy markers on Mecha's arm canon, are now the proper red so they don't stick out

v2.7 - Quality of Life


Buffs:
  • Aerial Up Special boost has been increased slightly
  • Up Special hitstun increased 0.1 -> 0.5

Nerfs:
  • Foresight cooldown has been increased from 300 frames -> 1000 frames
  • Dash Attack no longer has soft armor after landing the follow-up kick

Changes:
  • Color choices have been reworked to better match base choices
  • Changed the sound toggle icon color
  • Forward Air horizontal movement slows down when hitting an enemy
  • Neutral Air horizontal movement slows down when hitting an enemy
  • Aerial Up Special starting boost will now consider Mecha's momentum before blasting off
  • Aerial Up Special's ending drop off is now a gradual fall, instead of a flat hover
  • Aerial Down Special now will keep the momentum before slowing down into the dive
  • Up Strong is now techable for opponents

Updates:
  • Reworked preview image and portrait
  • Early Access color choice is now properly rendered
  • Early Access color choice now has it's own sound effects
  • New Aerial to ground landing lag animations for Up Air, Forward Air, Down Air, and Back Air
  • Crouch Dashing after using Forward Special on the ground has been greatly increased

Fixes:
  • Master Emerald Platform was facing the wrong way sometimes, this is fixed
  • Master Emerald Platform was not flying away after leaving, that is fixed
  • Dash Attack re-hitting should no longer soft locks opponents within Mecha
  • Foresight should now no longer have unintended invincibility frames
  • Fixed an error with selecting 'No Sounds' on the character select and sounds would play anyway

v2.6 - EMERALD TEASER


Buffs:
  • Ground Up Special mini missiles will now freeze enemies

Nerfs:
  • Aerial Down Special no longer drags enemies across the stage, instead will just stop after the first hit on the ground
  • Second hit of Forward Tilt's attack knockback growth has been reduced from 0.6 -> 0.3
  • Foresight now goes on a 290 frame cooldown when activated
  • Aerial Up Special throwing attack has reduced enemy hitstun from 0.9 -> 0.1

Changes:
  • Fast Fall speed 13 -> 16
  • Neutral Air hitpause 7 -> 4
  • Up Air hitpause 9 -> 5
  • Forward Air hitpause 3 -> 2
  • Down Air hitpause 10 -> 6
  • Aerial Up Special hitpause 9 -> 7, also was made thinner and shifted upwards to cover his upper body
  • New starting Jab animation, instead of the little stomp, he now does a low stomping kick
  • Ground Forward Special is changed (again, I know) to better match aerial version.
    Additionally, Aerial Forward Special sends opponents flying upwards slightly
  • Forward Air now has a new start up and endlag animation
  • Neutral Special meter visual has been removed and instead his arm slowly becomes red and smoke particles will engulf him when shooting for too long --- [Forward Air is affected]
  • Ground Down Special no longer has a little meter visual, instead now Mecha's body slowly lights up, taking about five and a half seconds long to charge up

Updates:
  • Emerald Teaser: Parrying enemies will mark the enemy player as 'emerald target' and hitting that target will then release the emerald from their clutches, allowing Mecha to grab it.
    * That's all it does, there is no Super Transformation.

  • Added voice lines when landing attacks with:
    - Neutral Air
    - Up Air
    - Forward Air
    - Forward Tilt
  • Added voice lines when getting hurt after a certain time has passed
  • Mecha's back booster visual has been added to Jab
  • Aerial landing lag (except Neutral Air) now has a new animation
  • After dying, the Master Emerald flies down and stops in place for Mecha, instead of popping into existence
  • The booster visual is now more consistent with Mecha's movement with Forward Air, Down Air and Back Air
  • Aerial Down Special hitting a wall now uses Wall Jump state if jumped out of, and can be jumped out sooner. It will also put Up Special and Down Special on cooldown for a couple seconds - so that you can't stall
  • New Foresight's visual indicator after it's back off cooldown, rapid swirls and a sound effect
  • New Down Special particles spawn around Mecha Sonic, lighting him up

Fixes:
  • Character select was not playing before, this is fixed.
  • Down Air would make Mecha say lines even when the button is disabled, whoops.
  • Hitting the wall with Aerial Down Special, sometimes (specifically the AI Mecha) would jump out of it frame zero, so that's fixed.
  • Ending frames of Jab could be cancelled out of with Taunt, which led to cancelling Taunt quickly enough to Jab again, and could do this forever.. that was fixed.
  • Fixed a bug where you could hit yourself and pop Foresight... somehow.

v2.5 - Quick Fixes


Changes:
  • Secret Down Taunt no longer has hitboxes.

Updates:
  • Mecha will now say lines more frequently during combat!
  • New voice lines have been added:
    - Grounded Up Special [missing]
    - Up Strong [hitting]
    - Down Strong [throwing left or right]
    - Up Tilt [hitting]
    - Neutral Special [firing all bullets]
    - Grounded Down Special [reaching 100% damage]
Fixes:
  • Foresight will now properly move Mecha around instead of stopping randomly.
  • Aerial Side Special was not resetting upon touching the ground, this is fixed.
  • Grounded Up Special will now properly say ''I see you!''
  • Secret Down Taunt is properly added back in.

  • Pratland visual is changed (for reference sake)
  • Grounded Neutral Special putting the gun away has a revised animation
  • Dash Attack no longer teleports back to kick, instead he will fly passed them then rapidly attack anyone behind him and pulls them into the upward kick
  • Aerial Up Special enemy grabbing and throwing timing has been shifted, later then sooner (respectively)
  • Grounded Up Special missiles will now move away from the targeted enemies before flying towards them so they won't miss when the target lands early.
    Additionally, new particle effects.
  • Grounded targets for mini missiles will now fly more consistently.
  • Aerial Down Special being parried will continue Mecha's momentum
  • Forward Strong being parried will continue Mecha's momentum
  • New Grounded Forward Special! Raging Demon.

Updates:
  • The boosters on Mecha's back are now brighter
  • Aerial Down Special now has a similar attacking aura effect to Forward Strong
  • Smooth Grabs! No more snapping into place : Aerial Up Special, Forward Strong, Down Strong, Forward Tilt
  • New sound effect landing on the ground
  • Added Booster visuals to Forward Strong and Up Strong while moving to give more visual feedback
  • Light Boosters for Up Strong and Forward Strong will slowly get bigger visually convey the power behind the move before released
  • Grounded Down Special Lightspeed attack (Timestop) will now wait for players that are invincible, so nobody is safe

Fixes:
  • Re-wrote/moved code to a fresh file to hopefully remove any bugs that involve crashing or Sandbert appearing.
  • Aerial Up Special when parried will now put him parry stun
  • Forward Air bullets will now cause parry stun
  • Mecha shouldn't just ignore enemies when hitting players with any armor anymore
  • Foresight no longer dodges to the right
  • Aerial Down Special finally pins enemies to wall, originally he would slide a bit down them, which was not intended
  • Ground Down Special Timestop teleporting back to original position has been fixed

v2.2 - follow up fixes


-Fixes-
  • Aerial Neutral Special will not flip Mecha the wrong direction when letting go
  • Victory music should now play properly
  • Particles with different colors should be fixed, so no more weird random discolored effects
  • Mecha becoming invincible after getting KO'd seems to be fixed
  • Landing the hit with Aerial Down Special should now hold onto enemies a bit longer, so hitting the ground and grinding on them is more consistent

v2.1 - hotfix


-Fixes-
  • Fixed Taunt audio repeating incorrectly and it being able to be spammed into itself
  • Fixed Down Special Lightspeed attack endlessly attacking enemies, as well as putting in the proper hit sound
  • Fixed a bug where dashing off stage with Neutral Special and coming back would lock Mecha in place sometimes
  • Airdodge should properly show afterimages now, accidently removed a line of code before uploading

-Updates-
  • Gave the Boosters their light back
  • Aerial Down Special had a small window to snap onto walls, updated it so the timing is larger
  • Aerial Up Special now has a quiet looping sound

-Changes-
  • Aerial Up Special will low linger for a few seconds, to possibly better indicate that you can hold it

Finally adding patch notes!!

-Buffs/Nerfs-
  • Aerial Up Special upward launch speed has been decreased
  • Foresight Dodging timing has been shortened
  • Aerial Up Special now won't go into Pratfall, instead Mecha can now float gently downwards indefinitely
  • Up Air now has more knockback growth, so it can be used as a kill option
  • Up Tilt start-up time was shortened and increased it's movement forward
  • Foresight now gives invincibility after successfully activating it
  • Up Strong, Forward Strong, Forward Special, Aerial Up Special, Aerial Down Special now have Projectile immunity. Making them a bit Cooler.
  • Aerial Up Special can now be Fast Fell after the downward throw
  • Forward Special slightly increased movement speed

  • Sound effect toggle!
  • Booster visuals have been updated to have more clarity and color individuality
  • Ground Sliding now has a new sound effect
  • Grounded Down Special's Spindash hurtbox now covers his body properly
  • Taunt can be cancelled out of at the beginning with Dashing, Dodging and Parrying
  • Down Strong now has two new throwing directions (left and right)
  • Up Special scanning 'invincible' opponents (ie Airdodge, Rolling, Teching) Mecha will pause and wait until they are out of invincibility
  • Forward Tilt elbow now locks enemies a bit more in place for better kick follow-up opportunities

  • Targeting visual changed to have more flair

  • Foresight has been re-coded for better interactivity
  • Air Dodging and Rolling changed for better visual clarity
  • Dash Attack's heavy kick visually now fits in with other foot related attacks (fire hit and sound effect)
  • Neutral Air will always bounce, even if you Hitfall
  • Dash Attack follow-up kick now has different angle and isn't a kill option anymore
  • Aerial Down Special endlag when touching the ground will have Mecha Sonic skid a little instead of going into his spin
  • Jab attacks are reverted back to their original incarnation, so no more teleportation shenanigans

-Fixes Bugs-
  • Fixed Grounded Down Special time stop meter not fully working with Mecha using projectiles
  • Fixed Aerial Down Special not ending the attack if connecting it with a fake player (like clones or articles)
