- Added normalmap to the Backrooms wallpaper texture (hard to notice but nice to have)
- Added normalmap to the eggshell-colored Pitfalls wallpaper texture

- Replaced the basic HL2 computer monitors with custom vintage computer models to fit the time period better. Also, this has added a lot to the map's filesize, so I will attempt to reduce it soon.

- Changed the system by which the auditory guidepost sound turns on and off; it now works as follows:
ㅤㅤ• Rather than turning on/off in conjunction with the laboratory blastdoors, the auditory guidepost sound now disables when the threshold blastdoor is closed.
ㅤㅤ• For the sake of convenience, there is now a button in the laboratory that manually enables/disables the sound
- Added a speaker prop in the laboratory as a justifiable source of the auditory guidepost
- Added a small lip to the threshold blastdoor so it peeks out a bit when closed
- Fixed hazmat suits having purple reflections
- Fixed missing "Electrical Station 2" sign
- Adjusted bottom texture of the threshold blastdoor to line up with the side stripes
- Various miscellaneous adjustments and fixes
- Updated navmesh

- Added a navmesh, because apparently it didn't pack last time
- Added a small box above the center of the map with alternate Backrooms textures (intended for the map retexturizer tool)
- Fixed a nodraw wall error
- Fixed an uneven texture at integral location of the map

- Added a door connecting the server room with the entrance hall for realism (the door was there on one side but wasn't there on the other)
- Added NPC hint nodes in the doors connecting to the server room
- Added "Electrical Room 2" sign in front of the server room door
- Adjusted reflection intensity of file cabinet in the observation room
- Adjusted reflection intensity of the metal blastdoor texture in the laboratory
- Adjusted reflection intensity of the orange wall texture in the facility
- Adjusted position of a steam vent in the threshold's upper loft
- Adjusted position of a door in the entrance hall to fix a slight crack peeking through
- Increased intensity of the threshold metal textures' normal maps
- Removed a light in the connecting hallway between the entrance hall and the threshold room

- Redid the observation room according to the new Backrooms - Presentation video, complete with a new layout, more reflective surfaces, and a custom pentagon table prop!
- Added the server room seen in various community posts by Kane Pixels to the side door of the threshold room! It does not serve much purpose other than detail, but it's there!
- Altered the threshold closing sequence, removing the startup/clicking sound, shake, explosion, and the solid brush that appears afterward, only having the alarm play and the blastdoor close
- Altered the threshold ambience, removing the clicking sound and replacing it with the ambience heard in Backrooms - Presentation
- Made the laboratory lights change color to a deep blue when the threshold is closed
- Changed the wallpaper texture of the back portion of the lower Pitfalls area, reapplying the eggshell-colored wallpaper to the back area rather than having the same Backrooms wallpaper everywhere
- Removed the lower orange stripe on the front wall of the observation room to reflect Backrooms - Presentation
- Removed reflections from the hazmat suits to fix the recurring "purple reflections" issue
- Slightly reduced volume of auditory guidepost
- Slightly raised the striped portion of the threshold blastdoor
- Fixed missing wall trims connecting the ASYNC laboratory to the Pitfalls area
- Added clipping to the bottom of the threshold so NPCs can properly walk through it
- Added bumpmaps to the threshold metal textures
- Changed ceiling texture in observation room into a tile and adjusted position of lights accordingly
- Changed sound of tile floor in the ASYNC facility from concrete to tile
- Adjusted intensity of some reflections in the ASYNC facility
- Many minor fixes and adjustments to the threshold room (details and button functions)
- Updated cubemaps and navmesh

---------- OTHER NEWS ----------

- Added a second map BSP to this addon, called gm_backrooms_classic! It is essentially the same Backrooms concept, but with all Kane Pixels/ASYC things removed, using the old wallpaper. Enjoy!

- Decreased size of the wallpaper texture in the lower Pitfalls area and applied it to the entire area rather than just the entrance room
- Made the neighborhood ambience stop when entering back into the Pitfalls area
- Added cubemaps in the Pitfalls and neighborhood areas
- Added three small snippets of alternate Backrooms textures in a small room above the threshold intended for the Map Retexturizer tool
- Made the top observation room door only open inward to prevent blocking the upper loft
- Made the Pitfalls wallpaper texture appear on the other side of the neighborhood tunnel wall
- Fixed the flickering mold decal in the Missing Persons area
- Minor miscellaneous adjustments and fixes

COMPLETE MAP OVERHAUL!
Thank you to all who waited so patiently for me to complete this update; I do apologize for the length of time it took for me to finish it -- I faced many difficulties with Hammer along the way, but I finally got it all to work, and here it is.

- Added all sections from Backrooms - Pitfalls by Kane Pixels with help from schlimbodimblo!
- Added the scene from Backrooms - Missing Persons by Kane Pixels
- Changed the wallpaper texture map-wide to be more accurate to Kane Pixels' series. Let me know what you think of this change; I hope it is not too controversial!
- Slightly reduced the size of the map to fix a bug that prevented the map from compiling (A.K.A. the reason the update took so damn long to come out)
- Fixed the CCTV cameras being far too zoomed-in
- Slightly changed the layout of the Backrooms in certain areas, such as adding a room full of pillars
- Made the threshold's upper loft completely surrounded by railings instead of ending at a set of pipes
- Adjusted volume of the auditory guidepost sound
- Optimized the map in certain areas (FPS + brush count fixes)
- Numerous miscellaneous adjustments and fixes
- Updated cubemaps and navmesh

- Added a monitor in the observation room with live camera feed from within the Backrooms! Test it out and press E on the monitor to see the footage from both camera angles!
- Changed the texture of the threshold gate to be more accurate
- Changed the texture of the solid yellow wallpaper to be more accurate
- Thickened a few more walls
- Many miscellaneous additions and bug fixes (also hopefully fixed any missing props/decals)
