Features:

  • Updated to 3.14.x
  • Semi-major update and rework of ascension perks incoming!
  • (Hive mind) Ascension of the Flesh renamed to Architects of Perfection. Reworked. Now increases terraforming speed, and pop assembly speed. Planets with less than 10 pops gained massively increased pop assembly speed. Adds a decision to spend food and unity to increase planet size.
  • (Hive mind) Ascension of Will renamed to Infectious Will. Removed special bombardment stance. Adds +1 influence. Reduced amount of science from enslaved pops, but now also grants unity and defence armies.
  • (Authoritarian) Imposition: removed diplomatic weight bonus, but increased diplo weight bonus from vision effect. Removed malicious espionage, replaced with Indentured Proletariat: pops with Slaves or Residence citizenship have increased productivity and reduced upkeep
  • (Authoritarian) Imperium: Changed scaling on Iron Hand to subject specialisation level. Changed some of the bonuses.
  • (Xenophobe) citizen supremacy: Removed flat bonus, increased scaling bonus from slave ratios.
  • (Xenophobe) hatred: Removed ship cost reduction component, now get extra alloy income in the presence of overwhelming opponents. Malice effect now provides bonuses for harming relations.
  • (Militarist) Militarised Economy: Reworked. Removed ship cost reduction. Now get extra soldier jobs from city districts, and soldiers produce resources depending on planet designation.
  • NEW MILITARIST AP: Existential Resolve: Reduces claim influence cost and war exhaustion gain, grants increased output from researchers and metallurgists when at war, but also increases their upkeep. Also grants the 'Mobilise Reserves' decision; its like the old Martial Law decision.
  • (militarist) Heroism: reduced leader exp gain, changed some of the traits.
  • (pacifist) Peace among Peers: Now grants benefits based on stability rather than happiness.
  • (materialist) Explorers of the Frontier: Reworked. No longer gives extra research for minor artifact reserves. Reflavoured Cosmologist to Explorer. Completing a dig site grants a lump sum of unity and increased Explorer research output for a while.
  • (materialist) Masters of the Material: Reworked. Gives you the Arc Furnace and Dyson Swarm research options, increases research speed of some research categories. Still gives you unity when building megastructures.
  • (spiritualist) Establishment: Now provides a huge bonus for trade value from living standards instead of a flat trade value bonus.
  • (spiritualist): Conveyor's of Tradition: reduced councillor exp gain a lot.
  • (spiritualist): Masters of the Immaterial: reduced leader exp gain and age bonus.
  • (individualist): Indomitable Ideology: Removed flat unity bonus. Removed the effect that increased opponents war exhaustion gain, instead gain orbital bombardment damage reduction and naval capacity increases when fighting a defensive war. Removed ship cost reduction effect, replaced with unity bonus.
  • (xenophile): The Political gain: Changed naming, removed extra envoys, increased official exp gain.
  • (xenophile): Celebration of Diveristy: Reworked. Now called Meliorative Mosaic, get extra trade value for more unique species on planets, and extra unity from culture workers when you have high populations of species other than your main species.

Bugs:
  • Modded capital buildings should work with special buildings now.
  • For Abyssal Secrets 2 (AB2): Added more text and events in places to help explain what you need to do to win.
  • AB2: Abyssal Host fleets destroy planets after sufficient bombardment
  • AB2/AB: Fixed some opinion modifiers
  • AB2: Other minor bugfixes

Fixed some bugs:

  • Fixed a bug causing infinite abyssal host fleets to spawn in the updated crisis.
  • Fixed a crashing bug in the updated crisis when in a diplomatic dialogue.
  • Fixed another source of pops gaining the unique origin trait.

Hopefully fixed a game breaking bug allowing the special Quantanium based origin trait to be randomly rolled onto new species. Also added contingencies to remove that trait in case it does happen.

Major update! The crisis rework is finally here.

Features:

  • Released the alpha version of the Abyssal Secrets crisis rework for testing. To test it; turn on the Experimental Features button at the beginning of the game. It will trigger around the end game start year naturally, but not when another end game crisis has recently triggers. NOTE: besides from fixing errors and ensuring it mostly works, there has been next to no balancing for this crisis so far, so approach with caution! Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
  • Released a new origin to accompany the crisis. It is called "Abyssal Remnants" and is designed to fit in with the updated story involved with the crisis.
  • Updated to Stellaris version 3.10
