v4.0.0 - Khinkali
- The long-awaited Cacausus Update is here, with an extensively researched and extremely detailed rework of the entire Caucasus region. Hundreds of additional provinces and dozens of counties have been added, along with many new faiths, cultures, historical characters, decisions and events to explore across all 4 start dates.
- A new Struggle for Armenia has been added, encompassing the Southern Caucasus and the neighboring regions to the west and south, where the fate of the historic lands of Armenia is contested between the Romans, the Islamic world, and the indigenous inhabitants themselves.
- The Permia region has been expanded to the northern coast of Nenetsia, adding two new kingdom titles, adding the Nenets culture and expanding the range of the Komi culture.
- Taking advantage of everything new provided by the Khans of the Steppe DLC, the steppe situation region has been expanded to the far east, and our former, somewhat janky tributary implementation has been replaced with the new official implementation.
- The Mandala government has been updated to make use of the tributary mechanics.
- In collaboration with Cybrxkhan of the excellent and nutritious mod Regional Immersion and Cultural Enrichment (RICE), a new faith of the Manichean religion, Mingjiao, has been added to southeastern China, along with the landless adventurer Chen Pingshan in the 1066 start date.
- New clothing sets have been made for coastal and island Southeast Asia (Credits to El Tyranos and Owlcoholic for allowing us to use their 3d models).
- Additional baronies have been added to Jeju Island (Tamna) and Singapore (Temasik), and Tamna has been split into two counties.
- The Philippines and eastern Indonesia have had titles reworked - baronies are unchanged but counties have been consolidated so that there are now very few single-barony-counties, and the number of duchies has been reduced. Sulawesi is now comprised of two kingdoms instead of three, and has been folded into the Maluku empire.
- Added the extremely tiny but extremely important Banda island south of Seram.
- Added the two-province county of Lakshadvipa off the coast of Chera Nadu.
- Kara-Khitai and Jin have been set to use Administrative government by default. This can be changed in the game rule settings.
- Removed option for Kambujadesa to use Administrative government.
- Rebalanced AI weights for the Chinese reunification CBs, so that China should be more likely to reunify in the 936 start date.
- Added an event so that the ruler of a new Chinese dynasty can select a new name for the empire (e.g. Tang, Song, Wei, etc)
- Greatly reduced the spawning of minority courtiers so that they don't clog up the entire game 100 years in.
- Fictional landless adventurers have been made for the Roma culture in each, beginning in the area the Romani diaspora occupies in each start date (867: between Makran and Sindh; 936: Central Iran; 1066: Eastern Anatolia; 1178: Western Anatolia).
- Added east and southeast Asia to the lists of regions where treasure hunts and adventurer inspirations can take place.
- Silk domicile building is now available for any administrative government to use in East Asia, not only those of Chinese culture.
- Removed tributary map mode.
- Mandalas no longer start with Primogeniture due to balance reasons.
- Stateless governement now uses the nomadic culture-based naming scheme.
- The Cuman-Kipchak Confederation now starts as an actual confederation.
- Added Aslian tribal rulers to their small domain in inland Pahang.
- The minor decisions to invite courtiers now have a chance to invite minorities if any are present in your realm.
- Changed Constant Rebellion tradition to greatly reduce vassalization acceptance.
