- Updated for version 1.13 Basileus
- For players with the Roads to Power DLC, China will start as Administrative in all start dates, with additional game rules for a few other empires
- Full support for the new 1178 start date
- Added Confucianism as a religion, with Administrative China starting with Jingxue as the state faith
- Complete rework of titles on the Korean peninsula, roughly doubling the number of baronies
- Total historical rework of the area around Lake Baikal, adding the kingdoms of Barjugin and Namai and several new cultures
- Total rework of the Hexi and Xia regions in northwestern China
- Added the Yaambism and Bis faiths to Papua
- Greatly improved title/ruler history in the 936 starting date
- Deleted several bookmarks and combined ROA bookmark categories with vanilla

- Moved Hokkaido to the dejure empire of Amur
- Fire Lances are now researchable by cultures of Chinese heritage starting from the Early Medieval era, and Hand Cannons from the Late Medieval. Every year, cultures bordering another culture who have discovered a gunpowder innovation will have a chance to unlock that innovation and be able to research it for themselves
- Added two new mapmodes, Language and Heritage, showing cultures which share a language or heritage respectively
- All Turkic cultures formerly speaking different varieties of Common Turkic now share the same language
- Lowered the chance of Stateless gov AI to declare war
- You can now go to university at Candi Muaro Jambi and Candi Muaro Takus
- Hariharalaya is now correctly renamed to Yasodharapura in start dates after 889
