V 2.5.0 ”Middle-Earth” Update

Additions
- Added 4 ages each with their own objectives and bonuses: The Long Winter, War of Dwarves and Orcs, Corruption of Dol Guldur, War of the Ring
- Added a unique mechanic called ‘Dwarven Hold’, special provinces for the dwarves where they can gain powerful bonuses by upgrading their holds.
- Merged mechanics from Wilderness, People of Middle Earth, Creatures of Melkor debuff into a Custom User Interface on the Province View Called ‘Province Status’.
Now you can spend monarch points overtime with a scaled cost according to development to remove the debuffs.
- Added Ideas for Rhudaur
- Added Special Units: Ithilien Rangers, Mumakil, Trolls, Dwarven Dragon Slayers, Ents, Beornings
- Added Great Projects: Rammas Echor, Dome of Stars, Bridge of Osgiliath, Corrupted King, Fallen King, Port of Pelargir, Stone of Erech
- Added visual environment changes, like Skeletons in the swamps of the Dead Marches, Lava in Mordor, Farmlands in Gondor etc.


Changes
- Rebalanced all units
- Removed Great Eagles, Giants as Factions
- Overhaul of all religions, including removal of Wilderness Religion
- Because of the religion changes, the “Haradrim Invasions” are now possible again as they are now able to rage a crusade against their foes, like Gondor.
- Removed Wilderness Culture
- Changed Dwarven Religious Blessings, also known as Envoys, as well as adding separate envoys to the dwarves of the south and east.
- Updated Minas Tirith Model
- Redone the map and provinces around Ered Luin
- Changed the events surrounding The Desolation of Smaug so that Smaug now always wins. This is for the Fellowship Mechanics to be able to occur. The User will be given the choice to continue as Durin’s Folk in the Misty Mountains or change to The Iron Hills.
- Changed it so that the Fellowship of the Ring will happened if the Company of Thorin reaches Gollum’s cave, as before the requirement was that they defeat Smaug and reclaim Erebor.

Fixes
- Optimized how checking for buildings is done, this should help for people having performance issues when opening the buildings tab.

- Changed Age “Prestigious Capital” to require 30 dev instead of 60.
- Moved name placement for various provinces to be readable/better placed.
- Balanced some Idea groups, especially the newly added ones.
- Greatly reduced build time for first level on all Great Projects
- Removed Idea group full Refund.
- Removed -5 prestige from state Statutory Event and added further conditions for when the event appears.
- Changed the initial racial event on start for Dúnedain for a different one than regular humans.
