Update 21 on 2023-10-21
  • Shiny carnivores have banded together and formed hunting parties!
    • You'll find a group of carnivores with a leader and a number of companions
    • The hunter is tameable, the companions are not. But the companions need to ... disappear first
    • Hunters spawn 20% higher level then normal Shiny Dinos

Update 20 on 2023-08-24
  • Let yourself be dazzled by the new Dazzling Shiny dinos!
    • A unique look, bright and colorful!
    • Immune to radiation, and protecting their rider - where they are, only they radiate!
    • They protect themselves when attacked, blinding any attackers temporarily
  • Colossal Dinos!
    • 33% larger then normal, and an increase in health
    • The size does come at a cost however, making them slower and use more stamina
    • Their increased size and metabolism causes them to produce bigger ... leavings
  • Shiny Essences can now be placed in all Dino inventories, including those with a very limited diet like Vultures
  • Improved the fall damage protection of Rubber Dinos to be more reliable - they were never supposed to take any fall damage
  • Fixed ShinyDestroyAllWild not working

Update 19 on 2023-07-15
  • Spawning Changes
    • Shiny will now populate the map with Shiny Dinos on load, if no Shiny Dinos exist
    • The spawn timer is now persisted over restarts or between single player sessions, for a more consistent spawning behaviour
    • The Aberrant and X/R random replacements should no longer do improper conversions, like Deinonychus to Raptor
  • Improvements to the Shiny Prod and Essences
    • Added the Shiny Spear Bolt, a ranged option of the prod, fired from the Harpoon gun
    • The Shiny Prod will now only be depleted when hitting a Shiny Dino which can have its essence extracted
    • Essences now allow use on dinos from the same family, eg. Raptor, Aberrant Raptor, Tek Raptor, X-Raptor, etc.
  • Changes for Admins
    • Numeric configuration options will now properly recognize zero as a value (0, 0.0, etc), instead of loading the default
    • Added a new ShinyDestroyAllWild admin command to remove all active wild Shiny dinos from the map
    • The admin console commands (ShinySpawnNow & ShinyDestroyAllWild) can now be executed through RCON
    • The Shiny admin guns now require active admin access to use, to prevent abuse
    • New Option: "PopulateOnLoad", default on, controls if Shiny should pre-populate the map
  • Fixes and updates
    • Updated the Chibi reward list
    • Updated the particle location on the Basilosaurus and Megachelon
    • A level boosted Enraged Rhyniognatha will no longer impregnate tamed dinos

  • Fixed an issue with Shiny Dinos not respawning reliably after a dino wipe
  • Fixed newly tamed Shiny Dinos being marked as Bred (for eg. Mutagen use)

  • Rubber Dinos! They are colorful, they squeak when walking, and they go "boi-oi-oi-oing" when you throw them off a cliff!
  • Improved the aggressive dino detection for Holographic dinos, highlighting even aggressive herbivores and other dinos that would attack you if you come too close
  • The Holographic vision is now also active when carrying a Holographic shoulder pet
  • Improved server performance when a lot of Shinies are active
  • Added new Chibis to the Shiny rewards
  • The "ShinySpawnNow" admin command now accepts an optional argument to specifiy which variant to attempt to spawn
    • (eg. "cheat scriptcommand ShinySpawnNow Rubber" will attempt to spawn a new Rubber Shiny)

  • Fixed Pygmy dinos being renamed to just "Pygmy" after a server restart
  • Removed the Boss status from Enraged Shinies, which prevented Chibi XP from being awarded

  • New Pygmy variant! Smaller, faster, cuter, but also a bit weaker
  • Enraged Shiny fixes
    • Improved resizing, no floating dinos that cannot hit you anylonger
    • Disabled Netting with the Genesis 2 Net Gun and reduced Tek Pistol damage scaling
  • Added R-Dinos to the random variant switch selection for X Dinos
  • Added R-Dinos to the Psychotropic variant
  • Slightly increased the Psychotropic effect intensity
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Shiny Tracker to not show the time properly in non-english locale
  • Tardis Shinies will more aggressively override existing inventory weight adjustments
  • Performance improvements when riding Holographic Shinies
  • Improvements for visual effects in Single Player being invisible
  • Improvements to the DinoBlacklist and Whitelist
    • When the Whitelist is being used, the Blacklist is processed afterwards as well
    • Entries on the Blacklist and Whitelist will now require an exact class match if the entry ends with _C (eg. Rex_Character_BP_C will only match specifically the rex, and not the Tek Rex)

  • Wild Baby Dinos chosen to become Shiny will be converted into adults
  • New Option: AllowShinyWildBabies, when set to "true" will allow wild Shinies to remain babies (only if they would normally be a baby, Shiny will not produce new Babies)
    • Note: Enraged Shiny Dinos will always be adults
  • Fixed an issue with the Radioactive Pulse not applying to Dinos after the Genesis2 ARK update

  • Two new Skeletal models (Dodo & Boa), thanks to Zythara
  • Prevented shoulder pet buff variants from applying to carryable dinos like Dodos, because the effect is wasted on them
  • Improvements to Radiation Immunity on Radioactive Dinos, they'll definitely not kill each other with radiation now and can be taken into AB Radiation zones
