The game is now out as "Everlast"!

There are too many changes to really document everything thoroughly, but the TL;DR is:

Many things were overhauled, please refer to the Rules PDF for all rule changes that were made.
I will try to continue clarifying the rules further where things might still be a bit unclear.

Cards were completely redesigned, streamlined and re-released!
Many cards from this game's previous iteration are still missing.
I will slowly continue to update them and their effects to implement them into Everlast.

I added a new table, new assets, snapping mechanics for the playing board and more!
Just jump in and have a look around to get a good idea of just how much has changed!

I currently consider the game to be in BETA v0.22.
Many cards and rules are still to be adjusted and added!

With the release of this patch, ALL previous patch notes have become irrelevant.

Fixed a problem with the upside-down versions of "Worshipper of the Forgotten" and "Unearthing the Forgotten" that resulted in an error message and caused them to not load properly

Exod-- err, The Elder God has arrived! A small set of weak servants was added. They may not have much of an impact on the field, but if you manage to have all three revealed and play the Necronomicon, a certain elder entity will ensure your victory.

From wondrous lands, two strange new fire servants have arrived! They have a knack for cards and let you utilize great abilities if you manage to shuffle your deck twice in the same turn.

Fools of Hearts (fire servant): https://i.imgur.com/vIpdkFh.jpg

A new offering has been added! As the only searcher in the game, you may pick any card from your deck ... and shuffle it into your unreceived offerings. Hope you're double lucky.

But there's more! This ancient, magic mask has a much less benevolent counterpart ...

Turns out that Tabletop Simulator does not natively support shuffling cards face-up into decks unless the entire deck is face-up. To fix this problem, cards that shuffle face-up into decks now have alternative versions with their front and back switched. When those cards are supposed to shuffle into the deck face-up, using these alternatives instead will work.
They can be found at the corners of the table, on the side where the other cards are.

4 new cards were added, one experimental card with placeholder art and 3 "Legendary Beast" servants that have powerful stat lines but include disadvantages for the player playing them:
Hot Potato (Fire Servant): https://i.imgur.com/d0xhVem.jpg
Legendary Beast Firefang (Fire Servant): https://i.imgur.com/RRrssjO.jpg
Legendary Beast Frostpelt (Water Servant): https://i.imgur.com/dqtOlYi.jpg

Opdatering: 21. mar. 2020 kl. 14:59

The fire servant "Aureal Constructor" had too much of an advantage against Earth cards and was changed as follows:
- Now summons 1 Volatile Cube Token instead of 2.
- Damage of the Volatile Cube Token's effect was increased from 2 to 3.
- Also now has the credit "Art by [...]" like other cards instead of just listing the artist's name.

Winged unicorn had too strong of a stat line for a card with multiple beneficial effects.
- ATK and DEF were both reduced from 5 to 4.

Based on the idea of the spell "Land Mine" being a card that forces players to consider where they want to place their servants, several new cards were added that focus on manipulating or gaining advantage from card placements:
- Floor Spikes (Spell): https://i.imgur.com/Z9VIPJi.jpg
- Tornado (Spell): https://i.imgur.com/r4X8qRH.jpg
- Hooded Tactician (Earth Servant): https://i.imgur.com/KIi2ieL.jpg
- Cruel Knight (Earth Servant): https://i.imgur.com/H2aK53X.jpg
- Beo, Primal Warchief (Earth Master): https://i.imgur.com/43bHdmk.jpg

A set of new cards was added introducing a new mechanic! Some of these cards shuffle themselves back into your deck face-up to unleash a more powerful effect when drawn again, while some interact with drawing face-up cards in other ways:
- Imminent Extinction (Spell): https://i.imgur.com/qg00LNo.jpg
- Shadow Snatch (Spell): https://i.imgur.com/iY15N9Q.jpg
- Unearthing the Forgotten (Spell): https://i.imgur.com/276VZWE.jpg
- Worshipper of the Forgotten (Fire Servant): https://i.imgur.com/lY5UF42.jpg
- Forgotten Sage (Earth Servant): https://i.imgur.com/hrIUF7G.jpg
- Aureal Martyr (Fire Servant): https://i.imgur.com/8ypU8bO.jpg

The Spell "Ritual of Duality" was removed from the game entirely. It is replaced by the following card:
- Trust Nobody, Not Even Yourself (Spell): https://i.imgur.com/WIXNnxS.jpg

A new spell was added that supports the "Aureal" archetype, but should also fit into decks utilizing other strategies:
- Support From the Aureal Realm (Spell): https://i.imgur.com/lHzZmlg.jpg

The "Phoenix" archetype was too weak and undersupported. Three new cards were added to remedy this a little:
- Phoenix Owl (Fire Servant): https://i.imgur.com/7aZr5x1.jpg
- Horu, Corrupted Lifebringer (Fire Master): https://i.imgur.com/xFWjAQy.jpg
- Selective Rescue (Spell): https://i.imgur.com/XkY8vBa.jpg

A new card was added to the "Mermaid" archetype:
Mermaid Diva (Water Servant): https://i.imgur.com/3xFsOTC.jpg

A new card was added to combo off of "Unearthing the Forgotten" as the only card benefitting from its effect so far was "Phoenix Eagle":
- Drowned Sailor (Water Servant): https://i.imgur.com/S2vUhSo.jpg

Made the game publicly visible!

In-game changes:

To be played, "Aureal Messenger", "Noble Mountain Giant" and "Gigantic Jellyfish" now require that the killed servant was played in a previous turn.

Mill strategies were a little too effective because of the small deck size.
The following changes should make these strategies less annoying to face:
- The fire master "Jaivana, Hellfire Cannon" no longer mills a card when your opponent plays a spell.
- The earth servant "World Drill" now mills 2 cards when played instead of 3.

Typos and errors in the game's name were fixed for the following cards (again, in some cases):
- Calamity Preacher
- Calamity Watcher
- Challenge
- Einbart, Technomagical Inventor
- Gentlemanace
- Land Mine
- Mermaid Guard
- Sunken Treasure
- Technomagical Harvester
- Technomagical Machinations

An inconsistency with the artist credit on the water master "Urd, Spirit of the Past" was fixed.
It now reads "Art by [...]" like other cards instead of just listing the artist's name.

Two changes to the wording of the spell "Land Mine":
- The card text now clarifies that Land Mine goes to the discard pile after detonating.
- The card text now includes that the effect is also triggered when a servant is "placed" on its field.
The latter of the two changes will become more relevant with a later patch that includes planned new cards with a new mechanic.

Two new cards were added to support the fire master "Einbart, Technomagical Inventor" and counters in general:
- Technomagical Fuel Crystal (offering): https://i.imgur.com/E8iKPEa.jpg
- Pain Train #482 (earth servant): https://i.imgur.com/sSiQfVh.jpg
I will keep an eye on the effectiveness of Pain Train #482, but believe it should not be too strong of a card outside of niche scenarios.

Decreased the size of the bowls with counters significantly.

Moved a couple of things like the counters, calculators, the coin and the die around a bit.

Opdatering: 2. mar. 2020 kl. 13:13

The effect of the spell "Primal Instinct" has been changed:
- Servants powered up by its active effect can no longer attack the opponent's reigning master.

A missing word in the card text of the spell "Sunken Treasure" was added.

The effect of the water master "Mamiwata, Icebound Luck" was changed to not work with counters anymore.
- Still lets the player redo their die rolls and coin flips once.
- Now lets the player decide the outcome of all of their die rolls and coin flips while Mamiwatas DEF is exactly 7.

The new fire master "Einbart, Technomagical Inventor" has been added: https://i.imgur.com/zOuzasW.jpg
This new master's gimmick revolves around adding and moving counters on the field, then using them to the player's benefit.
Einbart is supported by 5 new cards:
- Technomagical Bomb (fire servant): https://i.imgur.com/uo1aSlM.jpg
- Technomagical Harvester (water servant): https://i.imgur.com/Bv9A4oJ.jpg
- Technomagical Machinations (spell): https://i.imgur.com/4vHeo98.jpg
- Technomagical Energy Transfer (spell): https://i.imgur.com/p8igdoh.jpg
- Land Mine (spell): https://i.imgur.com/TMHmtui.jpg
Additionally, he somewhat synergizes with the already existing spell "Technomagical Invocation Field".

3 new cards that interact with or generate tokens were added to support the water master "Frigid, Queen of the North".
- Froststeed (water servant): https://i.imgur.com/8n7F47Y.jpg
- River Shade (water servant): https://i.imgur.com/JHo4HEk.jpg
- True Reflection (spell): https://i.imgur.com/Xvm3LW5.jpg

1 new card was added to support the fortune telling/prophecy achetype, specifically "Foretold Events":
- Self-Fulfilling Prophecy (spell): https://i.imgur.com/2V6nURO.jpg
This card has built-in counterplay to increase decisionmaking opportunities for both players, but should still prove useful enough for the player using it if played right.

6 new generic cards were added that should be fairly splashable for a variety of decks and strategies:
- Rusty Crown (offering): https://i.imgur.com/kyEczpU.jpg
- Time Distortion (spell): https://i.imgur.com/nsTDkyv.jpg
- Challenge (spell): https://i.imgur.com/QruHvC1.jpg
- Color Crash! (spell): https://i.imgur.com/1F6rwLI.jpg
- Corpse Eater (earth servant): https://i.imgur.com/65MQQJ6.jpg
- Imperial Impaler (fire servant): https://i.imgur.com/6gCB0Nx.jpg

More than half of the newly added cards are spells. With this, I am trying to address the lack of options players currently have when it comes to finding suitable spells for their decks. This trend might continue with future updates until a good balance of spells and servants has been reached.

Opdatering: 27. feb. 2020 kl. 13:26

The drawing effect of the water master "Cloud Weaver Nephela" has been changed:
- Now only works during the controlling players turn
- Now only works when DEF is restored to the controlling player's revealed servant(s) rather than ANY revealed servant or master

The effect of the fire master "Skulda, Prophet of the Future" has been changed:
- Now clarifies that the effect applies to all cards with the revealed card's name (in case a second copy was already in hand)
- A correct prediction now lets you draw an additional card at the start of your next turn. Previously, it wasn't specified when the draw occurs at all

The effect of the fire master "Immo, Enlightened Incendiary" has been changed:
- Can now be used at any point during the players turn, instead of only at the beginning
- Can now target his own servants
- Secondary effect can be triggered by killing his own servant

Several changes to the earth master "Abaddon, Vengeful Shade":
- The stats have been increased from 0/16 to 0/18
- The card art has been fixed and is no longer squeezed vertically
- The effect has been overhauled entirely and now reads: Once during each of your opponent's turns, when one of your revealed servants is attacked, you may shuffle a servant from your discard pile into your deck to increase the ATK of the attacked servant by half of the returned servant's ATK (rounded up). This effect is reactive.

The stats of the fire servant "Aureal Royalty" have been decreased from 4/6 to 3/5

The stats of the water servant "Mermaid Guard" have been decreased from 5/5 to 2/3

The active effect of the spell "Foretold Events" now deals 3 damage per discarded copy instead of a flat 7 damage

The active effect of the spell "Sunken Treasure" now requires two "Mermaid" servants with different names on your side of the field, rather than just a single "Mermaid" servant

Fixed an issue with the name of the game incorrectly reading "Servants & Masters" (instead of the other way around) at the bottom of the following cards:
- Calamity Preacher
- Calamity Watcher
- Gentlemanace
- Hraban, Herald of the Calamity
- Mermaid Guard
- Pot of Green
- Sunken Treasure

Fixed an issue with the following cards showing as face down in the opposing player's hand instead of as hidden:
- Abducted into the Shadows
- Draigdu, Tyrant Dragon
- Sword of Blinding Light

Fixed an issue with fire servants having a lower resolution than intended.

Rotated the infinite counter bag by 180° for the teal-colored player so that it and all counters pulled out of it face the right way for that player

Opdatering: 24. feb. 2020 kl. 11:30

Added a bowl with counters for the Master "Mamiwata, Icebound Luck" and future cards to each side of the table.

The rules have been overhauled:
- Added a rule clarifying that servants with 0 ATK can still attack and benefit from elemental advantages.
- Added a rule for killed reigning masters to be replaced the next turn (to lessen the impact of beatdown strats)
- Added sub-sections "The Start & The Basics", "Servants, Masters & Attacking" and "Spells, Effects and How They're Applied" and moved rules to their respective new sections to make it easier to look up relevant information
- Added rules and examples regarding how effects - particularly spell effects - are played, applied and resolved.
- Added a rule clarifying that the target of an attack or effect is picked when played/used and cannot be changed if the board state is altered (i.e. by a reactive effect).

The master "Draigdu, Tyrant Dragon" has been adjusted:
- Fixed an issue with Draigdu being referred to as a servant in his card text.
- Is now immune to being killed and damaged by spells, rather than being immune to damage from ALL effects.
- Changed phrasing regarding when his ATK is reset to be more clear.
