Update 3.4.0

GENERAL CHANGES:

- The die symbol used on cards that roll dice has been replaced to improve visual clarity. Individual cards with this change are listed below.

- The first Set is out: Set 1 - Enter the Everwar! It introduces 15 new Offerings, 12 new Rulers, 34 new Servants and 36 new Spells, bringing the game's total number of unique cards to a whopping 220! The individual card changes further below only contain changes made to already existing cards.

RULEBOOK CHANGES:

- Added a "Discard Check" as the 3rd Step in the End Phase that requires players with more than 6 cards in their hand to discard cards from their hands until they are only holding 6, effectively giving the game a hand size limit.

INDIVIDUAL CARD CHANGES:

Lunari Temple Rights (Channeled Spell)
- Updated Hint Text to reflect new Effectiveness mechanics.

Empty Medium (Water Servant)
- Updated Hint Text to reflect new Effectiveness mechanics.

Featherweight Polearm (Offering)
- Changed "Triplestrike" spelling to "Triple Strike"

Voidborn Visitor (Water Servant)

GENERAL CHANGES:

- Names of Rulers will no longer be in allcaps going forward.

- Trigger-type Effects now include a modifier that specifies "Optional" or "Mandatory" instead of being differentiated by the phrase "you may" in their text.

- Added more clarity surrounding Spell & Servant Effectiveness. It no longer applies to all stat-related effects. Instead, affected numbers now have a yellow sparkle and are colored in blue or orange, respectively. When cards are affected by both types of effectiveness, the number is purple. Some of these cards also have an updated Hint Text.


RULEBOOK CHANGES:

- Clarified new rules regarding tokens - they are now represented by face-down cards that are taken from the top of the deck. They can be interacted with as if they were whatever card type they represent. If they are sent to the Discard Pile or a player's hand, they are sent there face-up.

- Clarified that Elemental Advantage does NOT grant Servants +2 STR anymore. Instead, Servants with Elemental Advantage deal 2 additional damage.

- Added term clarification for Uncontested Lanes (Lanes where only 1 player has a Servant, allowing them to attack a Reigning Ruler).

- Elaborated on rulings regarding Attacks of Opportunity that occur when a Ruler retreats: Attacks of Opportunity now only occur in Uncontested Lanes.

- Clarified that Trigger Effects now list if their activation is mandatory or optional. The wording "you may" should have been removed from all cards and the rules.

INDIVIDUAL CARD CHANGES:

Aspect of Time (Nature Ruler)
- Now correctly says that you draw 1 card after placing a card on the bottom of your deck.

Benefactor of Plenty (Water Ruler)
- Passive effect can now be used regardless of whether or not Benefactor of Plenty is reigning or dormant.
- The Markers are now used to increase or decrease the die roll result, rather than changing it to the number of removed markers.
- Added "Mandatory" to the first effect.

Unstable Blastron (Fire Servant)
- Effect can now only be used once per turn.

Armored Beetle (Nature Servant)
- Effect text now clarifies that affected Servants take 2 less damage instead of gaining 2 Defense.

Aquatic Companion (Water Servant)
- Changed "attack" to "fight" to keep language consistent.
- Added "Optional" to the effect.

Inferno Rager (Fire Servant)
- Effect text now clarifies that affected Servants deal 1 more damage instead of gaining 1 Strength.

Young Frostpelt (Water Servant)
- Changed "attack" to "fight" to keep language consistent.
- Added "Optional" to the effect.

Young Porcushine (Nature Servant)

Changed some cards in the Prefab Deck "All Hell is Breaking Loose" to reduce its draw power:
- Tear Asunder's Channel Duration increased from 3 to 5
- Deep Fog's Channel Duration increased from 3 to 5
- Infernal Source's Channel Duration increased from 3 to 5
- Voidborn Visitor's effect allows it to attack the turn it's played now instead of drawing a card
- Ashes and Emptiness now only draws the player 2 cards
- Using Marrs effect prevents the repositioned Servant from attacking during that turn


DRAFT BAGS were added to the game!
Draft your decks by repeatedly pulling a random set of 3 cards from the bag and choosing 1 to keep until you have a complete deck! Numbers can be adjusted, but I recommend drawing sets of 3 cards to choose from. Start with the Rulers, then the Main Deck cards and finally draft your Offerings.

It's possible to draft more cards of a type than would usually be allowed - this is intended! Draft Mode is supposed to lead to silly and unusual outcomes that wouldn't be possible in Standard Play.

Wild Magic Surge (Instant Spell):
- Renamed to "Unstable Wish".
- Can now be used by discarding any card upfront.
- Can now be used reactively.
- Can now dispel a Spell it reacts to.

The Eternal Emperor (Fire Ruler):
- Now requires discarding of an effectless Servant.

Fountain Gargoyle (Water Servant):
- Updated an incorrect hint text.
It now describes "Invulnerable" and "Trigger Effects",
rather than "Reposition", which this card's text doesn't
even contain.

Pact of the Crimson Void (Channeled Spell):
- Changed wording to clarify that it only works with effects that
discard a single card.

Deep Fog (Channeled Spell):
- Changed the "When discarded" effect from interrupting a Spell
to reducing a Spell Duration by 2.

Tear Asunder (Channeled Spell):
- Changed the "When discarded" effect from killing a Servant to
dealing 3 damage to a Servant.

Amalgam Pack Mystic (Water/Fire Hybrid Servant):
- Made the Trigger effect optional.

Marr, General of the Crimson Legion (Fire Ruler):
- Changed the HP from 6 to 8.
- Made the Reposition effect optional.

Thuul, First of the Voidborn (Water Ruler):
- Changed the HP from 8 to 4.
- Victory Condition now requires having an empty deck during your
Draw Step.

The 6th and final prefab deck is out: "All Hell is Loose".
This deck is centered around discarding cards from your hand, and emptying out your own deck.

Another small overhaul!

- All cards re-uploaded with consistent symbols, effect texts, better clarifications and general polish.
- A couple of arts have received new placeholder art
- The prefab deck "Forbidden Riches" has been added - it focuses on coin flip effects and die rolls!
- Assets on the table have been moved around a bit
- A general prefab deck overview has been added, there are now 5 prefab decks
- Also added new pictures for the workshop page!

NOTE: As soon as the 6th prefab deck is finished, all the prefab decks will likely move over to the separate Prefab Decks mod linked in this mod's description. I will then begin gradually adding sets of generic cards that are intended for deckbuilding, not as full, standalone decks.

Significant changes to the Rulebook and Keyword List have been made.
- Servants' DEF and Rulers' HP are now different stats from one another.
- DEF doesn't deplete. To kill a Servant, it needs to take damage equal to or greater than its DEF.
- HP depletes and persists - even after a Ruler retreats (this is unchanged from how it worked before).

The entire previous card pool has been removed as part of a complete rebalancing and refocusing of the game as gameplay was not streamlined and coherent enough.

The cards have a new layout and adjusted visuals.

The "Earth" element has been renamed to "Nature".

All Servants now also have their element's color represented in the Strength Icon.

Support Spells have been added as a new card type.

The game board has been adjusted to account for Support Spells.

IMPORTANT:
For now, this build only contains 4 pre-built decks. I'm working on increasing this number to 6 and do some additional testing, after which I will move all of the decks over to the prebuilt decks workshop mod and add a generic card pool to this mod. Apologies for the inconvenience, of course players are still free to mix and match cards from the pre-built decks if they'd like to.
