BIG UPDATE!!!

I finally got around to fixing MANY of the bugs and glitches I found, and YOU found (BIG thankyou to everyone who reported the faults, I sure do appreciate it) after her initial release. This includes but is not limited to MANY electrical faults, the anchors, the daily use tanks, and a HUGE bug where the Calypso was actually receiving electricity from its own boat launch! Also, the ventilation fan in the engine room now serves a useful purpose. Having it on will increase airflow to your engines allowing them to run better.
Ok now the fun stuff!
Calypso now takes full advantage of most of the new features as of 0.7.9 which means many of the systems that did not function other then to beep and light up now actually work, she also received a few new systems.
Calypso now has:
- Video Screens and feeds for both the Troika and the SP-350
- A working Simrad Echo Sounder and recorder (Check the screen shots, at the back)
*Works as a 'depth over time display' and can be used for sounding to great depths.
- Two working radars
* One is the good old Decca that has a range of 1000M and the Raytheon Doppler Radar which can range to 2000M.
*Note the Decca must be ON in order for the Raytheon Doppler to also work
- Semi-functional Nasa Picture viewer
*The transmission from the Intelsat III satelite is at it worst at dawn or dusk...maybe its orbital flight path is too far from you? ;D
- A working example of the famed Dr. Edgerton's side scan sonar! (Check the screen shots, at the back)
-Things to keep in mind with the side scan sonar:
- Slower ship speeds = more accurate readings and less ship heaving.
- Don't make turns while your collecting data
- Try to avoid use of the Side Scanner Fish in anything but the best weather if you can.
