1356 'Denmark' Patch Notes

Game Balance

-France will no longer benefit from the Feudalistic Society modifiers.
-France now has cores on Caux, Normandy, Cotentin, Armagnac, Aquitaine and Labourd.
-England now has claims on Angoumois, Saintonge, Bas-Poitou, Haut-Poitou.
-Hundred Years War modifier changed to -15% Infantry and Cavalry cost and maintenance, reinforce cost -33%,
Manpower recovery +15%, Supply limit +33%, Prestige from land battles 100% and -0.05 Monthly War Exhaustion. (Removed 10% Discipline and 10% Morale)
-Castile, Portugal, Aragon and Trastamara now receive the Hundred Years War modifier.
Hundred Years War modifier no longer requires Jeanne D’Arc to fire, but now requires you to also be at war. (Previously, AI nations that participated in the initial war but were at peace would receive the modifier if France and England had trigger a second war.)
-All Imperial Reforms now cost 70 Imperial Authority to enact. (Developer Note: We will be revisiting Imperial Reforms when they are reworked in the next DLC.)
-Brandenburg now receives the New Traditions and Ambitions event when forming Prussia.
-Tweaked the Kalmar Union event chain to occur more frequently.
-Romuva now grants +2 Tolerance of Heathens and -0.02 Monthly War Exhaustion.
-Lithuania ‘Grand Duchy’ reform now also grants 10% Army Movement speed and 1.5% Discipline. Also is no longer fixed to the ‘Duchy’ government rank and bonus states increased to +3.
-Mamluks no longer start at Empire government rank.
-Removed Granada from the Hundred Years War.
-Tweaked Castilian ruler and heir stats.
-Tweaked ‘Rise of Burgundy’ event chain to be more frequent.
-Added Sas Dragos as the ruler of Moldavia at the start.
-Readded Sampi and Khiva to the map.
-Removed Ottoman permaclaims on Byzantium territory to encourage them annexing other beyliks at the start.
-Tweaked Byzantium and Trebizond starting claims and cores.
-Removed several misplaced cores across Turkish beyliks.
-Updated Alexandrian flag.
-Expansion and Exploration ideas are now available at Tech 4 again, however starting colonial range at tech 1 as been reduced to 40 from 70. Tech 4 no longer gives 10 colonial range. Tech 5 and 6 now give 25 Colonial range each (up from 20). Tech 8 no longer gives colonial range while tech 9 gives 70 (up from 40 previously at tech 8).
-Age of Discovery will now only trigger when a nation has Administrative tech of 9 and has the Quest for a new world idea unlocked.
-Vidin province now starts owned by Bulgaria, but still retains a core.
-Removed Byzantium Eastern and Southern cores in Anatolia, removed claims on Serbia and Bulgaria.
-Adjusted Polish and Lithuanian missions to ignore the 1444 Regency Council requirements.
-Adjusted Cores and Claims in the Polish and Ruthernia region, though this is subject to change in the future.
-Removed Baltic Crusader Modifier from Teutonic Order and Livonian Order.
-Removed the ability for Romuva nations to convert to other religions, both by decisions and through the religion tab.

Country Relations changes
-England and Northumberland no longer start as historic rivals.
Wales, Northumberland, and Lancaster are now part of the Hundred Years War.
-France now guarantees Scotland at the start of the game and are now historical friends.
-Foix now properly starts as a war ally of France.
-Bohemia now starts guaranteeing the Teutonic Order instead of an alliance.
-Poland and Lithuania no longer start as historical friends but can become historical friends through the Union of Krewo.
-Poland and Hungary no longer start as allies or with a royal marriage.
-The Livonian Order now starts as a March of the Teutonic Order.
-Morocco and Tunis now guarantees Grenada's independence at the start.
-Cyprus and the Knights now start in Venice’s trade league.
-Georgia now starts with Imereti integrated.

Country ideas Changes
-Renamed ‘Teutonic Ideas’ to ‘Baltic Crusader State ideas’. Now also applies to the Livonian Order.
Added ‘Crusader’ idea set for Cilicia and Achaea.

Lithuania

Traditions changed to 10% Shock Damage and +2 National Unrest.
‘Warlord Dukes’ now also gives +5% National Manpower.
‘Magdeburg Laws’ reduced to +5% National Tax, added -15% Development cost.
‘Lithuanian Hussars’ Cavalry Combat Ability increased to 30%, added Cavalry to Infantry ratio +10%.
‘Statutes of Lithuania’ now gives -5 Years of Separatism and -20% Core Creation Cost, National Unrest removed.
Lithuanian Renaissance now also gives +50% Innovativeness gain, Technology Cost increased to -7.5%.
Ambition changed to Religious Tolerance.

Bohemia

‘The Kutnohorian Deal’ moved to first idea slot, now also grants +1 Leader Free Upkeep.
‘Elective Monarchy’ now also grants +33% Heir Chance.
‘Hussite Legacy’ Tech cost lowered to -5%, now also grants +25% Church power gain.
‘Wagenburg’ now grants +10% Infantry Combat Ability and -10% Shock Damage received. Moved to final idea slot.
‘Czech Nationalism’ now grants +10% Army Morale.
Ambition changed to +10% Land Fire Damage.
Poland
Ambition changed to Religious Tolerance.
Traditions changed from -10% Cavalry cost to +10% Cavalry to infantry ratio
‘Winged Hussars’ changed from +10% Cavalry to Infantry ratio to +33% Cavalry Flanking Ability.
‘Focus on Field Defense’ Morale bonus lowered from 15% to 10%.

Austria

Traditions changed to +25% Improve Relations (Down from 30%) and +2 Diplomatic Reputation.
‘Imperial Ambition’ Diplomatic Annexation cost increased to -20%
‘Military Frontier’ Fort Maintenance cost increased to -25%, replaced National Garrison grow with -10% Build Time.
‘Habsburg Dominance’ Now grants +1 Yearly Prestige, and +1 Free Diplomatic Policy. Diplomatic Reputation removed.
‘Edict of Restitution’ replaced by ‘Houfnice Artillery Tactics’ granting +10% Artillery Damage from the back row and +0.50 Artillery Shock damage.
‘Hofkriegsrat’ Discipline increased to 5%, reinforce speed decreased to 20%.
Ambition changed to +15% Land Morale.

Denmark

Traditions changed to +1 Navy Tradition and 5% Ship Durability.
‘Vornedskap’ changed to +20% Manpower recovery speed.
‘Old Naval Traditions’ changed to +15% Heavy Ship combat ability.
‘Found the Rentekammer’ now also gives +1 Administrative Policy.
‘Reorganize the Kladekammer’ Naval Maintenance changed to -15%, Sailor Maintenance changed to National Sailor Modifier +20%
‘Found the Copenhagen Dockyard’ Naval Forcelimit lowered to 33%, added Local Trade Power +10%
‘Den Danske Lov’ National Unrest removed, added -10% Stability Cost.
‘Religious Freedom is Atheism’ Tolerance of the True Faith increased to +3, added Tolerance of Heretics -1.
Ambition changed to +5% Discipline

Norway

Traditions changed to -5% Land Maintenance modifier and +10% Army Morale.
Ambition changed to +5% Discipline
‘Military Shipbuilding’ changed to -5% Ship Cost and +5% Ship Durability.
‘Write New Sagas’ Discipline removed, added -50% General Cost
‘Seize the Opportunity’ now also grants +10% Global Tariffs.

Sweden

Ambition changed to +10% Land Fire Damage.

UI Changes
Feudalistic Society Modifiers will now display the year they end in the triggered modifiers section.

- Removed the Modded Majorica TAG, but kept our flag. It looks more cool.

- Valois has a new TAG (VLS)

- Featuring "India Lite" a dumbed down version of our WIP India changes, that's updated to 1.27 standards, and playable. It's not amazing, but its back to V26 Standards.

- Updated all files modified by Golden Century & Us to 1.28 standards

- Updated CTR's ideas to CAS's new ideas

- Removed Spanish and Portuguese Missions to colonize the Islands near them, we'll rectify this next major patch with something nice and shiny.

- Navarra's missions updated

- Removed the 3 Mesoamerican tags we added, we have enough color vomit.

Missions
- Added the Zurich Mission Tree (Victoria)

Flavor
- Ideas for all the Swiss Minors
- Removed Generic Swiss Ideas, in turn all Swiss Minors have their own ideas
- Removed Generic Armenian Ideas, they were unused and duplicates anyways
- Added a random option to the Timur spawn event, which aims to give Timur his own ability to conquest with less help than the historical path. Will he go into China embracing their ideals? Will he create the next Steppe Empire? Or will he just do the same damn thing as always?
- All the Timur invasion events have a fallback option in the case that the nation being invaded does not actually exists, this should prevent annexing nation X to prevent timur conquesting bugs.

Balance
- Sami received its 7th idea that it was missing previously?
- Timur's historical war declerations are now reversed. The nations he's invading actually declare the war, which should prevent them from calling in allies, which should allow Timur to mostly follow his historical path.
- Players who are invaded by Timur now see the Timur death mark modifier on their nation. (It gives them a fighting chance)
- The Timur death mark modifier now gives -2 revolt risk

Localisation Additions:
- Added startup screens (from Elite_Saighdiúir on discord) for France and England
- Sami 7th Idea
- Added ideas to the 5 Swiss Cantons
- Localised the Generic Bulgarian Ideas (With Vanilla Bulgarian Localisation)

- 1356 added religions are now contained in the vanilla religions file, any mod that modifies this WILL be incompatible.

Features
- Yuan now has a mission tree, complete with a handful of flavor events! Now you can attempt to bring a dying Empire back from the brink of defeat! (Warning: Extreme Difficulty)
- Southeast Asia and Malaysia have had a touchup thanks to a member of the old 1356 team @Harpyiae on discord!
- Yuan comes complete with a new disaster!
- Yuan now has to work to build back their administration, when they start they have access to very little resources to help scrap their Empire back together.
- Part of the Swiss rework

Events/Decisions
- Added Event for Yuan to receive free manpower if Toqto returns
- Added Event for Toqto's Return
- Added Event for Nomads demanding their reward for staying loyal during the rebellion
- Added Decision for Yuan to 'Bribe' the Nomads into staying loyal during the rebellion
- Added Event for Yuan to implode if they've lost their mandate and are only a nomad. If they've asked for help from the nomads and failed. The Player can choose to switch to Oirat if they desire, or stay Yuan.
- Added event for Mongolia/Yuan to turn Tengrist if theyn desire if/when Yuan implodes
- York now will spawn in its historical time frame
- Yuan and Qing now have a culture that is part of the Chinese Culture group. Qing's is through a decision, Yuan receives theirs through a mission. This enables them to recruit banners, and have better control over China if they survive.
- Switzerland is now a formable nation, through diplomacy or force
- Added a handful of Swiss flavor missions
- Added a few secret easter egg events
- Sigismund of Luxemburg event chain added (Hint: As Hungary, ally and marry Brandenburg)

Flavor
- Added the Toqto'a path for Yuan, which takes the player through rebuilding the Yuan Empire both externally and internally. In the future, there will be more than the one path.
- Added the Red Turban Rebellion disaster, and a plethora of events to trigger revolts related to the disaster. The disaster also comes with an unused Rebel type!
- During the RTR (Red Turban Rebellion) if the player did not pay off the nomads they will split off one by one.
- During the RTR the Non Chinese provinces controlled by Yuan will revolt, typically quicker than most of mainland China will.
- During the RTR the Chinese splinter states will slowly revolt away from Yuan. If you annex them and take the mission related to quelling the rebellion, you should have no further rebels there.
- Added the "Chinese Minor Kingdom" government type, locks the Chinese Minors at Rank 2, as well as giving them some powerful bonuses.
- Korea now starts with 'Queen Noguk Borgijin' has their consort
- Berg and Cologne now have ideas, thanks to Mexdus. This includes German localisation for said ideas as well.
- Added two new subject types, one for Majaraphat, the other for the new Swiss Cantons
- Bern, Zurich, Vaud, and Sundagu now exist as cores on the Swiss
- Added the Earldom government reform for Irish minors, granting them 10% Morale of Armies, and +1 Leader Maneuver
- Added the Turkish Beylik Government Reform for Turkish Minors
- Added the Tabasco tag in Central America
- The Byzantines now start out with the "Theme System" government reform
- Austria now starts out as an "Archduchy"
- The Bishopric of Bamberg now exists
- Secret Prep for the next major update
- Added a little something to the Northern North.

General
- Fixed many older bugs from before we took over the mod, many things like westernisation are now gone.

- Yuan receives vision over the Steppe and Persia now through its first event (I'm saving myself the work here, give me a break.)
- Added the (Currently unused) nation of Goryeo, includes History and Ideas! In the future this will replace Korea in the early game.
- Removed lots of old code related to defunct Vanilla mechanics (Good bye westernisation!)
- Removed the 1356 changes to the War of the Roses, as it led to circumstances that was easy to exploit.
- Ideas updated to Vanilla standards finally, this mostly fixes the change to interest implimented ages ago.
- Cleaned up our decisions folder, now all decisions related to tech use the 1356 requirement to form countries, which allows nations to form around the time vanilla EU4 would let them
- Modified Vanilla events now are in proper line with their vanilla counterparts
- Added a bunch of (unused) EU3 graphics for future use
- Added a Mission Debug decision. If you believe you should have different missions due to a bug or oversight, clicking this should correct them. Maybe.
- Removed the 1356 versions of Ilkhanate and Kale
- Fixed (most) of the issues resulting in 1.26's government changes
- Added the Vanilla changes to trade nodes
- Updated the Polish-Lith provinces to 1.27 standards (sorry india)
- Added a handful of missing localisation from previous updates

Balance
- Yuan starts off with Charhar, Khalkha, and Oirat as accepted cultures now
- Eastern Religions now must be Government Rank 3 to create Tributaries (Fixes a bug related to never ending warlord state in China.)
- Annexing French Feudal Vassals now requires 190 dip relations between the Annexe Country and the Annexer Country
- Serbia now starts as a Rival to the turks. (No more Turkish-Serbian anti Byzantine alliances! Who's the real threat?)
- Chinese Warlords now have more sensical cores
- Min and Wu now start at war with Yuan
- Casimir III is now a 6/6/6 ruler
- Slighty rebalanced Early Mil Techs
- Removed ILK ideas, now using vanilla ideas.
- Updated Avignon Age Bonus, now gives +2 Papal Infulence and +50% cheaper enforce religion cost to combat those fithly hussites.


Bug-Fixes
- Anglican has the proper icon (for real this time)
- Fixed some code weirdness that allowed Lotharingia to form under odd circumstances that was not intended.
- Fixed the "Death of Shah Rukh" event triggering at all.
- Fixed a few weird bugs that were unnoticed in the later modded start dates
- Fixed some oddities in tech that related to colonies and production
- Fixed a few bugs from Paradox relating to Mugals culture
- Fixed tons of issues with events, too many to list


Mod Compatibility
- 00_subject_types.txt is now modified directly by the mod. Any mod that edits this file is incompatible now.
- Anything that is a 1356 orignal addition should now start with "1356 - " as a prefix in the folders of the mod.
- Removed a few modified vanilla events that were no longer needed
