- Miaphysites, judaizers and monophysites now have a harder time divorcing their spouses. Unless their spouse has committed adultery they now get the same -25 as catholics do. This is because the Coptic Pope only allow divorces when there has been adultery involved, otherwise they need an annulment like catholics.
- When asking a divorce the marriage will no longer get the "possibly unconsumated" bonus if your wife is pregnant or decent at intrigue.

- Religious heads will no longer care if your wife is barren when calculating divorces (re-introduced, got lost somehow when updating to patch 3.1.1).
- If your marriage is childless and your spouse is not lustful you will get a bonus when requesting a divorce. This is because the marriage may be unconsummated. Catholic canon law allow divorces if the marriage is unconsummated (Consummated marriages between baptized christians can never be dissolved, but the validity of the marriage can be examined). Orthodox canon law permits divorces (or remarriage strictly speaking).
- Catholic married courtiers will no longer join Holy Orders and divorce their wives. Historically it was actually possible for married people to join monastic orders, but they had to have the permission of their spouse and the marriage would not be dissolved (but both spouses would go celibate, therefore the permission of the spouse was required).
