Update: Apr 25, 2019 @ 3:54pm

Finally cleaned up references noted in the last change log. Properly referenced Base, farming, and camping, and removed all explicit names from recipe file.

Fixed a recipe error caused by TreeBranch being incorrectly referred to as Treebranch (case sensitivity is a drag!).

Update: Apr 25, 2019 @ 3:36pm

Bacon and Rabbit Meat were not correctly referencing that they are an import from "farming" items, could not get the import working for now so just explicitly named them.
Fixed a recipe that had "sweater" as an option, but there is no such thing as "sweater." Sweaters are just "shirt" internally.
Explicitly named the treebranch item "base.Treebranch" which seems to have fixed a similar error relating to missing imports.

-"Make Homemade Soap" recipe was creating the old version of soap that does not actually function. Corrected the recipe.

Update: Oct 7, 2018 @ 2:12pm

Using knives to cut open canned food will now cause durability loss to the knife. This was done for realism reasons, but also for game balance to ensure can openers aren't completely without value once you get your hands on a knife. Can openers are still preferable, but knives are a viable "desperate" option.

Edit: Important to note as well that cutting empty cans apart into metal scrap with a knife will cause similar durability loss.

Update: Aug 2, 2018 @ 1:16pm

You can now cut open cans of food with a knife, hunting knife, or saw. This takes longer than using a can opener, but is still extremely useful. If you have both a can opener and a knife on you, you'll be able to choose between "Open" and "Cut Open."

Update: Jul 15, 2018 @ 2:05pm

Homemade soap is now harder to craft... again. I swear, I have nothing against soap! You must now be near a campfire to make it. Also, a bowl is required to mix/shape the soap. However, a lighter/matches are no longer needed now that you must be close to a campfire.

New Recipe: 2 scrap metal can be made by cutting up an empty tin can or an empty soda can.
New Recipe: Metal sheets can be made now. You will need to be near a campfire, have 4 scrap metal, and requires a square roasting pan to melt the metal in. This gives the sheet its shape. The roasting pan is kept.
New Recipe: An improvised kitchen knife can be created using a metal sheet and one of various materials to fashion a safe handle to grip. A rock is also required (and is kept) to insinuate a need to sharpen the metal sheet to create the knife's edge.
New Recipe: You may carve a baseball bat out of a log. Requires a ripped sheet for a soft grip. Because a baseball bat is quite large, carving one with scissors or a sharp rock will take significantly longer than carving one with a knife.
New Recipe: Tent pegs can be carved from sturdy sticks, making it much more feasible to create tents from sparse resources.

Update: Jul 4, 2018 @ 12:28am

Homemade soap recipe now slightly more realistic and accurate - requires water. Recipe always required wood and fire to simulate creation of lye during the process, but lye also requires water.

Homemade soap recipe now accepts a log instead of a plank.

Homemade soap recipe takes slightly longer to craft.

Added sound effects to a few recipes.

Update: Jul 3, 2018 @ 2:04pm

Reclaiming thread now takes a bit longer.

All recipes that required a hammer may now also use a stone hammer. This should have been a thing sooner, since it's the theme of the mod. Oops!

All recipes that required a needle or suture needle may now use a nail - it's certainly possible to use a nail as a needle, even if the resulted sewing job would be ugly. This should allow you to set out into the forest quicker, as nails are much easier to find than needles.

Most recipes that required a knife to cut certain materials may instead use a chipped stone, with the exception of the bag recipes (I imagine it would be insanely difficult to cut a bag in half with a sharp rock). This includes wood carving recipes.

Pool cues and baseball bats will now be carved into 2 sturdy sticks instead of 1.

New Recipe: You may now create your own chipped stone by breaking a regular stone with a hammer or stone hammer.
New Recipe: You can carve a log or plank into bowls using knives or a chipped stone.

Update: Jun 14, 2018 @ 1:45pm

Instead of giving 1 unit of Thread, the Reclaim Thread recipe was giving 1 full spool of Thread. Unsure how to fix this at the moment, so for the time being it requires many more Ripped Sheets to perform Reclaim Thread.

Slightly increased how many units of Thread are required to Twist Twine.

Slightly increased how many units of Twine are required to Make Rope.

Update: Jun 14, 2018 @ 11:59am

Removed "Braid Rope" and replaced the recipe with 3 new recipes: "Reclaim Thread", "Twist Twine", and "Make Rope".

Allows you to create rope with twine, to create twine with thread, and to harvest thread from ripped sheets, which can of course be acquired from clothing and so forth.
