Stone's Politics Xpansion

This mod is an attempt to expand the political control the player has over their interstellar empire, and increase this terriffic game's role-playing potential.

Mod Features
  • 8 new empire-wide Edicts, a unique one for each Ethos group.
  • 2 planetary Edicts to allow the player to exempt a planet from taxation or invest influence to expand border reach.
  • 10 new Ruler Traits, including negative traits such as Insolent, Micromanager, Corrupt, and Sketpic.
  • 8 new Policy groups to allow players to tweak their empire's Social, Tax, Political, Trade, Diplomatic, Economic, Infrastructure, and Fleet Readiness policies based on the strategic situation.
  • 6 additional government types (3 initial and 3 advanced) to give Collectivists, Individualists, and Xenophobes unique government opportunities.

Upcoming Features
  • New political events to increase the role-playing opportunities in Stellaris
  • New political crises for the mid to late game
  • Unique Edicts and/or Policies for each Species group (Mammalian, Avian, Fungoid, etc.)

Thank you very much for the support, and to Paradox for making this great game. If you like the mod, give it a thumbs up or a favorite!

What was your first clue? The fact that if you download it says outdated, the fact that it was last updated June 1st of 2016, or the fact that the two comments directly before yours addressed that?

Is this outdated
Ev 5 Eki 2017 @ 13:49
No. Would require some pretty heavy edits.
Deadeye_7 5 Eki 2017 @ 10:58
is this still playable? i mean does it still work after all this time without a update?
Kepos 1 Eyl 2017 @ 4:54
Great idea. Unfortunately I'm getting underscore_txt bug playing localized. Would it be possible to simply copy/paste English expression for all other localizations?

Hay Like-A-Stone, here are some suggestions for types of governments to add.
Corporatocracy (Jennifer Government) (Corps Of Engineers, Orbital Privatization)
Constitutional Monarchy
Theocratic Republic (Iran)
Theocratic Absolute Monarchy (Saudi Arabia)
Singapore-Style Democracy (Guided Democracy) (These are the weird hybrid blend of traits in order to have this type of government since this is the only country i can think of that is as close as you can get to having the best of both worlds without any of the flaws. Authoritarian. Not Fanatic Authoritarian, Fanatic Authoritarians would never allow the slimmer of plurality that Singapore allows, Materialist, Egalitarian.)
Oligarchic Republic (Republic Of Rome, Republic Of Carthage, America)

Hey! First of all, love the concept of your mod, but I have a couple of questions.

First all - save game compability? or is it only on galaxy generation?

Secondly - I'm looking forward to my crown princess succeding in establishing her shadow council within my empire in a few years, Would probably make for a really cool mod if i bothered writing in the console commands you need to pull off to accomplish it.

(if anyone wonders, i've added a hidden monthly influence leech (through random event text box) which when it reaches 250 reforms your government randomly (beyond ethic restrictions even) and either adds the heir to the rulers traits (they co-operate) or outright succeeds him)

If possible, I'd love to work together with you on this. I have the concept, the "story", and all text boxes already done, but no "real modding" so to say.

Well I mean, did you expect anything else? It hasn't been updated in almost a year now. I could fork an 'update' for it again since this mod works by just overwriting the existing policies, but given that Stone has been silent on the matter I still feel pretty bad about doing it.
Amerakee 11 May 2017 @ 19:23
BUG Currently overwrites the new empire-wide policies. Unable to change food stockpiling or refugee status (for example) with this mod enabled.
