The Scottish Borders

Açıklama
This is a map of the area around southern Scotland and northern England. The original focus was the Waverley route, so the general network is included. In my personal savegame, I recreated the Beeching cuts, and surprisingly, I ended up making less $/year. However, I do recommend following the original routes of the line(s). This is cropped from ash's Penzance to Thurso Map.

Great map. Thanks for creating. Is there a way to add more industry? I understand it was just to simulate the passenger trains aspect of the Waverley which used to run past the back of my house. But would be greast to be able to haul good also around the borders

I really want to use this being from Newcastle and moving to Ayr....but I cant find it in the custom map selection bit. Am I doing something wrong? I imiagined it'd just be called "Scottish Borders" in there.

Absolutley nothing to do with the Tory party being in the pocket of the road haulage industry at the time, and the small matter of the then transport minister (Ernest Marples) at the time being a major shareholder in a road construction firm, Marples Ridgeway. The Scottish Borders became a wasteland as far as the railway was concerned.
