Mid Game Crash Fix (64bit) [updated 2023!]

Crashing Midway through multiplayer or Singleplayer story mode? Having 1k unit battles then out of nowhere sent to the desktop even though your computers a monster?

Sorry that this guide may look sloppy. This is my first ever guide
The problem with midway game crash is that the game is excedding its 2GB ram limit forcing itself to crash this has nothing to do with you its just there isnt an official 64bit patch for the game.
This is level 2 of the UEF I keep crashing here cause I make huge armys in hard mode

The fix

So the fix here is pretty simple, I will be adding screenshots.

First go here http://ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php
The site should look like this











Download and extract the file
(Im using winrar)















Now, double click the program and navigate to supreme command which should be located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Supreme Commander\bin and patch it. (Make sure to back it up first!)
Then launch supreme commander then it should work!

the FAF (faForever) client also has memory issues of its own so be sure to close it and some times via task manager. Symptoms can vary and at times it will burn through cpu usage.

Ok, so it still crashes eventually, if you play for long enough... there seems to be a memory leak somewhere in the game. But it takes multiple hours of active play to reach 2-3GB usage and crash, which is way better than before. More than long enough for a multiplayer game, and if you're playing campaign then just save, quit to desktop, and reload to reset the usage.

Very helpful! Previously it would crash once its memory usage hit around 1GB.

You should update your guide so that it says "English" for language, otherwise it doesn't show up in searches by default.

Oh, my friend, thank you so much! How long I've suffered from it. In average, worked play 30-40 minutes, and then crashes. Now I play in every match for 2 hours! :)
