Fixes the player storage chests on Lady Vengeance, so they always remain persistent.

Items in the chests will remain when changing levels, even when using mods that add characters/items to the Lady Vengeance's lower deck.

Q: What problem is this fixing?
When using mods that add items/characters to the Lady Vengeance's lower deck, you may notice weird interactions with the storage chests, such as chests disappearing or reappearing. Additionally, the chests completely reset their inventories when changing levels (High Seas to Reaper's Coast, RC to the Isles, Isles to Arx).

This mod hides those original chests and moves all of their items (if any) to new globally persistent chests. These new chests retain their inventory between levels, and properly become visible when more users are in the game in multiplayer. When in singleplayer, only one chest is available, like expected.

Additionally, these new chests work just like the originals, in that you can send items to them when right clicking on items and selecting "Send to Lady Vengeance".

You should be able to use any mod that adds stuff to the Lady Vengeance while this one is active, and avoid having the storage chests reset. Keep in mind that other items in the level may still reset however, until Larian fixes this bug for good.

Additional Fixes
In addition to the chest workaround, an additional workaround has been added to restoring the missing staircase on the deck of the Lady Vengeance.

Before:

After:

These stairs can disappear in "The High Seas" level if you have a mod that adds stuff to the top deck, likely related to the same bug as the chest issue.

A Note on Using Mods
If you have removed while trying to pinpoint the issue, try and re-enable those mods and load an earlier save before you removed them. Removing mods from a save is usually a bad idea, as characters, items, scripts etc. are stored in the save, and removing the mods they depend on may corrupt things.

I have a mod manager available here that's capable of loading a mod order from a save, among other things:

If only this could fix all the vanished chests I brought aboard to use as organized storage. I am... NOT happy with this game right now. Still, I'm glad I learned of the stairs issue ahead of time.

Spent hours collecting buckets, herbs and potion bottles. Put them all on TLV when the chest bugged out. This mod fixed it :)

So I hate to ask but I'm not sure who else to ask, but I stumbled across this mod and me and my friend were so overjoyed that we thought we found the solution to our problem, we are having issues with the quest " The High seas", The stairs exist on the boat, but they cannot be traveled down into the lower decks of the ship, so we are stuck on the top deck and we are soft-locked. I've tried deleting all the level caches, he tried hosting the save as well, we even tried running the save without any mods enabled(we made a copy first ofc) and the issue still persists on vanilla. We unfortunately are running on honour mode too so there isn't any previous save to goto before the act transition.

we played in fort joy for around 18 hours over the last few days and we really would hate to lose our save, is there any way we could recover it somehow?

@LaughingLeader
Ok thanks. The storage chest ended up being the *only* reliable thing between acts, so I just kept dumping everything in there!

@AndyDroid Hmm, sounds like some more persistent level template issues, yeah. This mod only checks the storage chests and top stairs in" The High Seas". I haven't added checked for the other objects, but it does sound like they may have disappeared from the same game bug that causes the storage chests and top stairs to disappear,

Load order won't really help here unfortunately since the bug is caused by an issue with the game, where if something is added to a "persistent level template" by a mod, it causes that template to reset when the level changes. Add as in, they opened the editor, loaded up the Lady Vengeance template, and dropped their trader into the level.

Mods like LeaderLib don't trigger this issue since it teleports the trader to the level instead of adding it to the template in the editor, but it's more common for a mod author to just open the editor and add their trader to the level, since that's the easier option.

(Just to follow up)
I am running 66 mods though, so I wasn't terribly surprised that something went wrong! I would list my entire load order but I don't know how to do that without spamming this area. I do have this mod at the very bottom of the list loading last as I am familiar with other moddable games needing the patches and fixes at the very end. I have a lot of the popular mods you would expect, and a lot of class mods that put traders in the area. There is specifically one trader added to that room, if that is something that could cause issues. I also use the Divinity Mod Manager and the Script Extender is installed and up to date.
