City bus ZiS-16 (USSR) (having uploaded)

In 1938 ZIS-8 on the conveyor was replaced by more perfect, answering to trends of that time ZIS-16.
Production of the ZIS-16 bus differing according to automobile fashion of that time streamline shape of body, but still executed on wooden framework, has been developed since 1938 and continued till August, 1941.
The bus accomodated up to 34 passengers (at 26 seats). The ZIS-16 engine forced up to 84 hp accelerated the machine fully loaded mass of 7.13 t to 65 km/h

In total 3250 ZIS-16 buses have been exhausted.
The part of them which is not mobilized in the Red Army during initial stage of war has been supplied in 1943 with the gas-generating and gas-balloon installations dismantled in 1945.
Thanks to modern and recognizable look of ZIS-16, became very characteristic sign of street landscape of Moscow of the end of the 30th has begun the 50th.
Considerable part of ZIS-16 buses after war has been reconstructed on Aremkuz and other enterprises with shift on new ZIS-150 chassis. Such radical measures have allowed ZIS-16 to finish on suburban routes of the capital to the midpoint of the 50th, and in a number of the cities longer.
