Play Europe (Brave New World Edition)

Beschreibung
I initially modified Dale's big Europe map for private use only, but decided to share it with you (for those who rather want to download maps than create them themselves). There are true start locations for all European Civs to date. I tried to give the terrain an even more realistic look and covered the map with resources, trying to make it well playable at the same time.

The map has slightly been reduced in size, from big to standard by cutting off redundant sea tiles at the top and left side of the continent.

It comes in 4 different flavours: There is a separate one for each game pace option, allowing you to choose whatever game speed you like, as it cannot be changed in one scenario.

This map pack contains the new Atlantic Discovery maps which are basically the same Europe scenarios combined with a North American continent to explore and colonize. This gives you a new challenge once the optics have been researched and you have caravels.

Installation:

Just click subscribe (the green button).

Playing the map:

Once you're in the game go to Main Menu - Mods - Activate mod - Next - Single Player - set up game not Main Menu - Single Player - set up game. Choose the map (and respectively game pace) from the drop down menue.

IMPORTANT: To avoid that random civilizations, starting positions and resources appear in your game (for instance China in Europe) or if you start at the wrong place it is essential that you click the following button after choosing the map in the game setup screen, in order to have all the game elements as intended:

Now select your Civ and difficulty level. Done.

Playable Civs:

France
Spain
England
Celts
Sweden
Germany
Austria
Netherlands
Rome
Greece
Hunnic Empire
Russia
Ottoman Empire
Carthage
Babylon (DLC)
Egypt
Denmark (DLC)
Byzantium
Poland
Republic Venice
Portugal
Morocco

If you're a Mac user:

A Mac version of this map pack is available here (for manual installation):

Known issues:

Workshop problems
If the map doesn't show up in your mod list, just delete the game cache in username\documents\\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache and restart the game.

Strange Civs in your game
If you do not own one or more of the DLCs listed above, the game fills their gap with random civilizations. So you might encounter America in Denmark or Siam in Babylon.

Like Tuppence442, I don't see the Atlantic Discovery maps.
Otherwise, I love this map and have played four games on it thus far with different leaders and era-restriction mods.

When playing, I found that the map cuts off right after Iceland... Why is that?

Thank you! This is the best map I've ever played after my 2100 hours of gameplay! I just played the most epic game of my life as England on marathon speed and emperor difficulty. Nearly all of the civs picked Order and I was among the few who chose freedom. Babylon almost won a science victory. If it weren't for my massive navy and booming economy, they would have

I had to conquer the Netherlands (they were winning too), then Spain, Carthage, and Egypt because they wouldn't give me open borders. I launched an expeditionary force - a massive army/navy combination. We made a landing in Jerusalem (conquered it) just as Babylon was building spaceship parts. I used the navy to liberate Greece and Turkey while my army closed in on Babylon. It was a 32 year war - from 1982 to 2014, but we finally conquered every last Babylonian city. Best map ever.
