Introduction

Welcome to my Wasteland 3 Steam page. On this page you'll find useful information on how to make character builds for the game. I made this page mainly for my own amusement, and for me to refer to. I shared it to be helpful to others. If you have any questions, please post them in the comments section. All builds are posted with stats as they were at 25th level, which is the level at which my characters ended the game. You might end up with more or less XP than I did, so I give suggestions on what to level up next using the + symbol. I played through the game on Ranger difficulty.

EXTRA: Tips, Tricks & Useful information
Don't Take The Toaster!
  • At some point you might collect all the golden toaster parts.
  • This nets you some really powerful loot.
  • However, you also get a golden toaster companion!
  • ...it's the most annoying thing ever, and completely useless in combat. Don't. Take. It.
Don't Take The Premade Characters!
  • Some guides on the net advise you to take the premade characters for the tutorial.
  • This nets you some unique utility items.
  • However, Inxile changed the game post-launch to make it much more expensive to make your custom characters after the tutorial.
  • So don't bother taking those premade characters - just make your own from the start.
EXTRA: Visual Sneak Peek
For those that want to see what the characters look like at endgame.

1: Hulk

2: Warlock

3: Cyclops

4: Raven

5: Lucia

6: Kwon

i agree, just being able to start fights and have initiative pretty useless with your rocket launching stealth explosive guy is way to easy lol.
Yosharian  [tekijä] 8.4. klo 7.06
Yeah unfortunately this game loses all off its challenge by the end, it's a shame really. I think it would be a lot more challenging if the rocket launcher wasn't used because that weapon alone trivialised most fights.
Timmy the Tooth 8.4. klo 5.48
Yeah Yosh I tend to over min-max, by the time I tired of game it was too easy for me :P
Yosharian  [tekijä] 8.4. klo 5.29
Also, Armor Modding 10 gives a buff to your party so it's absolutely fine to max it on a permanent party member.
Yosharian  [tekijä] 8.4. klo 5.27
The game is honestly too easy to make such min-maxing that important. I never once thought to myself "If only I had more skill points on Lucia".
EolSunder 8.4. klo 2.45
yes Timmy the Tooth, you never want to put barter/modding on your main team, use a mule type character to bring out at your base to buy/sell stuff and mod weapons and armor, not needed on a main character and those skill points much more valuable in other areas. The only thing you should have on a main character is weapon modding 5 i think, and the perk Powder Packer which lets you find more ammo as you play the game. Your mule should have barter, weapon mod and armor mod abilities to just bring out when needed. NOT on a main party member.

@nerddroidcav: sorry dude, I don't have the game installed and I can't remember what my starting stats were.
nerddroidcav 22.12.2022 klo 20.55
can you give a leveling guide or at least show how to stat them at level 1 instead of just the end goal so im not fumbling in the dark on how best to get there?
Yosharian  [tekijä] 18.1.2022 klo 11.46
@TimmyTheTooth: it's not a bad idea to be fair. You could totally do that. I did find it somewhat useful to be able to install mods in the field, but it's definitely not necessary.
Timmy the Tooth 18.1.2022 klo 8.27
Most of what I've read said to keep the max barter/modder as a base person. Any reason you take Lucia all the way up as a modder?
