Take a morning passenger service from Tunnelton to Howesville with the Leviathan.

Difficulty: Medium/Hard

Duration: 25 Minutes

B&O Kingwood Branch

In the latest patch, I corrected the use of the dampers, so for going forwards, open the rear damper (the one nearest the engineer) and close the front damper.

NB: Shut the drain cocks as soon as you've notched up, and whack the regulator full open again. Slows to about 2mph but picks up again to about 10.

Very fun, managed the second attempt (forgot about the front damper). Very careful notching up using mouse to shut regulator fast and open drain cocks to minimise time required to clear the cylinders before notching back a step - made it up the grad at about 50% cuttoff, full regulator, water and wood at full feed.

@Big Panda I would suggest double-checking all the hand brakes (including the tender), making sure the front damper is open, getting the firemass up as high as the automatic stoker will take it, hitting the bottom of the hill as fast as you can, and setting the reverser about 63% or so once you start the climb, throttle wide open all the way up. Having both axle pumps on would be a good idea too.

I tried everything and can not get up the grade.....
