Dungeon Siege 2 & Broken World Multiplayer guide for over Tunngle
By Cap'N Cook
Hello fellow Dungeon Siege 2 players,

Since I've come across a lot of comments / negative reviews that this game is broken doesn't have multiplayer.. yada... yada..
Well somewhere you might be a bit right that Steam broke this game after they took it in and start selling it.
But that doesn't change that enthusiasts will have solution's for it just like this one :)

I hope this will give you all some help and enjoyment of the game outside a LAN enviroment!

Please rate the guide people if you've used it and it worked or not,
Also feel free to leave feedback!

Kind Regards,
The CapN

P.S. sorry if my English sucks or if there are a lot of typo-s, It's my second language :)

The mighty ☠Valkyrie☯ kawaii desu fix!
But for that we have a solution:
How to Enable: Broken World + Extras by ☠Valkyrie☯ kawaii desu

And after you've done that you feel ready to slay some monsters and bosses with your homies, I know the feeling all to well :D
LAN Games
In a normal LAN network your able to see each other in the staging area and you see the lobby pop-up and your able to join. Just your normal LAN network enviroment.

But now that your LAN party is over and all your homies went back home you guys want to continu playing the game, so you all start it up and click internet to be frightend by the message:

And now? panic? disaster? end of the earth?

Nah mate I got the solution :D
Downloading Tunngle
So what you do is you download Tunngle[www.tunngle.net]

During the installation Tunngle will ask you to install a "network device" accept this because it's Tunngle's own adapter to make the virtual network with.

Reboot your pc after the installation is done.

Now once that's all done you go in to Tunngle and search for: Broken Worlds
You join the lobby / IRC chat and than you click on play.

It will prompt you to select the game .exe file
(You don't have to purse use the EXE file, I use the Steam shortcut so I still get the hours on steam)

Now go to the Network and Sharing center>Change adapter settings>Right mouse click on Tunggle and than Propperties

We disabled IPv6 so I suggets you do to :)

Once this is done comes a bit more of the tricky part.

You have to do this step by step how it's told otherwise it wont work and you'll only see people in the chat and pre-lobby but you won't see the server!

So just to make sure, Your in the Dungeon Siege II: Broken Worlds lobby of Tunngle and Dungeon Siege 2 is NOT running.
Tunngle's step's to victory!
1. Disable all your network devices EXCEPT Tunngle's

2. Host will start up Dungeon Siege 2 Broken Worlds and hosts a multiplayer game. Make sure your ingame where you can walk around and talk to NPC's, not the staging area because that doesn't work!!!

3. If everything is loaded in and your game is running you ALT+TAB to switch your network devices back on

4. At this point Tunngle will prompt you that the internet acces is back and if you want to reconnect you click yes (Once you see people in the lobby / IRC chat back online its all good)

5. Now your friend starts up the game and goes in to the lan lobby, it sometimes takes a few seconds to a minute before you see the server but it has to pop up

If for some kind of reason all this above didn't work, you have some firewall / router problems.

Since Tunngle is dead, you can just get Killah's fix, do a quick port forwarding and play like you always would.

@Spike, thanks for the headsup :)

We couldn't use Gameranger because it didn't want to see the Steam Dungeon Siege 2.. :(

Sadly that Tunngle Part doesn't work for everyone. I tried it, me and a friend then could see each others games, join it and then the client dropped. So thats not the solution for everyone. When using gamerange everything went fine (without disabling network adapters, tricking the game taking the local IP adress).
Just as information if anyone may has the same problem as we did.

Nice guide! I believe you can also do something similar with Evolve =D Always good to see the DS community still alive and kicking, this game was part of my childhood =')
