Ranch Optimization

This is a guide to help players make the most out of the space they are given to help optimize the placement of slimes and their resources. This is for players who want to have at least one of each slime without having to look for essential resources.

Introduction

This is a guide that will help you to make the most out of the given space to optimize slime and resource placement. Keep in mind, this is under the assumption that you have all areas on your ranch unlocked and also have access to all slime types and resources. However, even if not, you could always use this guide to help plan for when you do have all the areas unlocked. This guide is for version 1.0.1 and will be updated if need be.

Basics

To get some logistics out of the way, it is important to know what you have to work with.

In the Home Area, there are 8 plots with which you can transform into what you need, in the Grotto the Slime Science Area, there are 5 plots, and in the Overgrowth and Docks, there are 4 plots; giving you a grand total of 26 plots.

As for slimes, there are 15 different slimes. Of these 15, 2 cannot be fused together to form largos (the Fire and Puddle slimes); as a result 9 plots will be used for corrals (2 of these being the pond and the incinerator).

As for resources, if you want to have all of the favorite foods of each slimes' diet, you'll need 12 plots. This will give you 5 extra plots.

Home Area

As stated before, there are 8 plots that are available in this area. Where you place them exactly is ultimately your choice but you should make sure to at least have the list below in this area.

In this area, you should build at least 3 corrals. For this, I would recommend the following largos; Pink + Rock, Tabby + Honey, and Dervish + Mosaic (Beware, Be sure to put the Dervish+Mosaic away from other silmes). I would recommend to make 4 gardens: Heart Beet, Mint Mango, Prickle Pear, Silver Parsnip. For the extra plot, I would recommend making a Storage to store all the food.

Grotto

As stated before, there are 5 plots that are available in this area. Again, where you place them exactly is ultimately your choice but you should make sure to at least have the list below in this area.

In this area, you should build 2 corrals. For this, I would recommend the following largos; Boom + Rad, Phosphor + Crystal (bescuase crystal is usually worth the most before gaining access to the Glass Desert so feel free to use which ever other slime you want). I would recommend to make 2 gardens: Cuberry, Oca Oca. For the extra plot, I would recommend making a Storage to store all the food.

Slime Science Area

As stated before, there are 5 plots that are available in this area. Again, where you place them exactly is ultimately your choice but you should make sure to at least have the list below in this area.

In this area, you should use all of the plots to make gardens so that a lot of food will be readily available to feed all of your slimes. The 5 gardens that I would recommend are Mint Mango, Prickle Pear, Silver Parsnip, Odd Onion, and Oca Oca. You're free to do any other resources here if you would like or make another storage if you are finding yourself in need of different resources.

Overgrowth

As stated before, there are 4 plots that are available in this area. Again, where you place them exactly is ultimately your choice but you should make sure to at least have the list below in this area.

In this area, you should build at least 2 corrals. For this, I would recommend the following largos; Tangle + Crystal, Hunter + Quantum. I would recommend to make an Odd Onion garden and a Painted Hen pen.

Docks

As stated before, there are 4 plots that are available in this area. Again where you place them exactly is ultimately your choice but you should make sure to at least have the list below in this area.

In this area, you should build the Pond and the Incinerartor. I would recommend making a Carrot garden to be able to fuel the Incinerator. For the extra plot, I would recommend making a Storage to store all the food. If you do not see the need for a pond, you can put the puddle slimes in the little lake in the docks to have one free plot.

Ending

My personal recommendation for the Grotto is to make it an open area!

Fill EVERY lot with farms (Possibly one silo) - Max upgraded (Including Odgen's upgrades, BUT NOT scarecrow)

Throw in a bunch of quantam/honey largos (Or any largo of your choosing)

Grow mint mangoes (Or a favored food of your largo)

Preferably use toys to attract slimes to the farms, and not the open area

And last but not least, you can use drones to pick up the plorts for you!

You suggest putting hunter + quantum. I have two questions.

1. Hunter largos are fucking insane and keep breaking the net on top of the corral. What do?

2. In your setup there isn't a Phase lemon farm, so what do you feed these largos to be efficient? I doubt it's Roostros.

yeah id recomend insead is 2 carrot farms DeMorquist but the ponds might fill up with to much puddle slimes
use only 5 slimes in each
