Realistically speaking, weight reduction comes partially from how much weight is being put on each body part etc and how much work our muscles have to individually do, the weight we can hold up with one arm for example is separate from the other, our pockets may not carry much but it's our pants holding it up and we wouldn't have to exert as much effort, thus reducing the potential weight issues.
