I have a few possible explanations to why people are not as opposed to this change as you think they should be. First, this isn't a harsh nerf - the system the people are used to is still there, it just was slightly rebalanced to favor leaders over heroes. Second, I've found it has been discussed before in the balance mod - it's GC35 at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1flsHncpzAmJa_2xMHZ6Tlp-mf69ej2mYrSGNc4V3_QA/edit - the doc shows that there are more people on record for it than against it. And finally, I like to think the careful explanation of why we think this is the right thing to do has played its role =)
We didn't touch city enchantments yet. Personally I think that these spells should be available for owned, allied cities. And dwellings too.
Domain of XXX must be unlocked for Necro too. Now they has bonuses even for Undeads.
Good ideas about starting spells. Less random - more competition and fair gameplay.
Heroes and leaders - most of PBEM community doesn't want fixing of hero's EXP exploit. Personally, I think that heroes and leaders SHOULD get the EXP only for killing blows.
