Roabie Queen walkthrough using clones

This is a guide for the Roabie Queen who I thought was a pain in the anal area until I figured out how not to loose any health. Clones.

Walking in

Before you confront the Queen, stock up on amber for cloning. When you walk into the room the Queen will start blasting acid balls at you. Be sure to roll away from these and find a nice safe wall big enough for you to not get hit from and space to keep a clone.

Cloning time!

This part is simple. Use clones to undo the quartz but be careful, like you should already know, they die in 1 shot so don't be afraid to hide behind a wall for a bit. Don't put him in crouch mode at all, it is way faster to run and roll past the shots and break the crystals like that.

Rinse and repeat

Keep doing this until all crystals are broken. Do not rush, and be careful with your drops, you have all the time (and amber) in the world to do this. But if you run out of amber, you're fucced.

Clones simplify the job, but are not needed. There is a brief time lag between attacks. Be careful about the other attacks, green loogies and tentacles. Time the attacks as you move between the cover of rocks and pillars to get near to a crystal. Time the attacks, go out and break the crystal, then get behind cover.

I tried dr_schorle's variation on the idea just now, and it worked better. My computer runs the game kinda choppy, so it was a much harder battle for me, especially when trying to get to the highest crystals, but I managed to persevere. Thumbs up!

I tried this, and it worked. But when I played the level a second time for the speed insignia, I used the live-saving clone skill. Just create a clone at the starting place and destroy the crystals with styx. In case you die, your clone saves you. That was way easier and faster.
