LEGO City Recovered

Framerate Fixes and Fullscreen Exclusive Mode for this sloppy game.

Download and Install

Most of my mods use an automated Internet installer. This one's just a quick hack (for now). I may decide to fix the cascaded shadow map quality at a later date and give the project a proper installer.

For now, grab the patch here[gitlab.com].

1. Extract LCR2.7z to SteamApps\common\LEGO City Undercover
   
2. Run the game as usual.
   
3. Configuration is handled through the mod's built-in config menu. Press Ctrl + Shift + Backspace to activate this menu.

Troubleshooting

If the software does not work correctly, press and hold Ctrl + Shift when the game starts and you will be given a menu with options to remedy the problem.

If you can't fix the problem yourself, please use the development thread on my Steam group (Special K).

IF: After installing this mod game crashes when you press Ctrl + Shift + Backspace (with MGS "detected" sound). Download the "archive" link from here: https://discourse.differentk.fyi/t/download-special-k/1461 and extract SpecialK64.dll to your lego city directory then rename it to dxgi.dll.

my game sometimes has a blank screen or it deep frys the colors of the game and becomes a still image but can still hear myself move around

If you can brute force this on a 4090 it runs perfectly, so look forward to that I suppose.

Special K menu doesnt shows up and when I do the ctrl+shift+backspace combo, it crashes with the MGS sfx

I just used low spec experience works fine now set it to 1440p no more stutters but sometimes need to restart pc if it start stuttering but other than that works fine

Cyanic thanks for saying that because that just helped the game run at a smooth 60fps and the settings at maxed out either your -maxfps 0 helped or that i switch my laptop to high performance in it's power settings but thanks for saying that... God bless you
