A Triple Differential Tank Steering Model.

This system was devised by Dr. H. E. Merritt, Director of Tank Design at Woolwich Arsenal.

The version on tanks has brakes used to slow or stop either outer differential.
This Scrap Mechanic version locks an outer diff. The lock mechanism, coloured red, is also where the brakes would be on the tank.

Features.
Both wheels (Drive cogs on tanks) are driven forwards, backwards, and at different speeds while turning on the move, by 1 motor.
...and not a single logic gate in sight !!!
