"Fanart of XCOM 2's unsung hero Firebrand. Firebrand is the Skyranger pilot dutifully following Central and the Commander's orders even if that means leaving someone behind. She understands her ultimate responsibility is to ensure that the Skyranger return intact.

Some of my own personal head canon below:

Firebrand wasn't seen often with the rest of the crew and she preferred it that way. It was hard enough knowing that any mission could mean life or death, but the thought of having to leave someone behind to those alien bastards was torture. It was best to remain distant. Central had made it clear upon her arrival; The Skyranger was irreplaceable. Her duty was to protect it at all cost and there was no room for error. Her flight suit was just as advanced as the Skyranger. Designed by Lily Shen it was meant to survive high velocity impacts, fire, projectiles, oxygen loss, high pressure, and anything else Lily could think.
