Description
Dragonlord Greatsword
----------------------------------------------------------------------

ATTENTION! Mod update 9-11-2012:
Lets get this over with quickly. This update makes the sword available to anyone who does not have Dawnguard. Anyone who has subscribed prior to this update will have the sword taken away from their inventory and thrown into oblivion. Pretty crappy thing to do, I know, but lets just get this over with. I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. I would have reacted sooner had I realized this mod would be as popular as it is.

See details bellow for recieving your free compensation sword.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that you are a Master-Blacksmith new avenues of smithing have opened themselves up to you. You have discovered the secrets to forging powerful sets of armor and weaponry out of Dragon Bone, one of the most dense and durable materials found in Tamriel.

During your travels through Skyrim you have found many mundane items and discarded most that you could not use or sell. Somewhere along the way you had found a fragment of an ancient scroll which showed what seemed to be a partial manual for creating an ancient style of Dragonbone Greatsword. Luckily you forgot to throw out that old manual and now you are confidant that you can fill in the gaps.

It seems it was a type of sword wielded by warlords during the Dragon War. With hard work and time to decipher some of the texts you are fairly confident that you can create one of the deadliest greatswords in your repertoire. It might not be deadlier than other Dragonbone Weapons you’ve made but it will definitely set you apart visually.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description:
The Dragonlord Greatsword is a lore-friendly stand-alone weapon that has equal stats to the vanilla Dawnguard DLC DragonBONE Greatsword. It requires the Dragonbone Armor Smithing perk to forge and can be fully upgraded with Dragonbone. I do not believe it requires Dawnguard but i’m too lazy to test it.

The goal of this mod is to provide an alternate version to the Dragonbone Greatsword and to do it while maintaining at least the quality of the rest of the game assets.

Installation:
Click on the green “Subscribe” button.

-------------------------------------
Getting your free sword:
Open console by pressing the "~" key.

Type: "help dragonlord 4" and then press the "Enter" key. Find the code in the line that reads something like "WEAP: (28000D63) 'Dragonlord Greatsword'". You will use the ID number in parentheses in the next step. This help command does not work in the German version of Skyrim and might not work in other language versions as well.

Now type without quotation marks: "player.additem "ID number goes here" 1" and then press enter. Example: player.additem 28000d63 1

-------------------------------------
Stuff:
Amended. Was too pompous.

-------------------------------------
Permissions:
I give no permission to release this mod or any edited version of this mod anywhere other than on the steam workshop. Other than that do as you please with it. If you want to add your own (Amended because of pompousness (is that even a word?)) retexture or mesh edit then knock yourself out. If you do use it or any part of it in your own mod then let me know about it. I’d like to see what you’ve done.

Why are you still reading this? Go kill something! … Or go create something! Go!

started to play skyrim special edition because my new vediocard doesnt run the normal skyrim. still would like to be able to play with your ammazing dragonlord Greatsword. because its only on steam i cant enjoy the great craftmentship of this Greatsword. ( still figering out a way to do so ) but it would be so nice if you could place this on nexus. it would help a lot.

Definetly the best looking dragonbone-sword i have seen so far, only the hilt should have a more dragon leather lock, so maybe a smalscaled grey would fit better

Any way you could port this weapon to Skyrim special edition and upload to the nexus? Best weapon mod ever!

All i can say is maybe. It's been a few years now so my interest dropped off a long time ago but making the weapons could be fun... so, maybe. I've been thinking about a most badass two handed dragonlord hammer for a while now. That would be most badass.

I placed a vanilla sword ( glass Greadsword ) in the same weapon rack that the Dragonlord Greadsword was hanging it had the same problem. So this would probbebly tells me that there is something wrong with heartfire DLC and not wrong with your dragonlord greatsword. ( stilllike to decorate my house with it XD ps; do you also have a shield that looks just as awsome ?? :P

@Hadron Stahl
Thanks man! That is quite the compliment.

@robina1992
If it is out of place then that is something outside of my control. When I create the sword model it is centered around where the dragonborn holds it. So the center of the sword is the same as the center of every other sword in game. If it is out of place on a weapon rack then that has something to do with the way the weapon rack holds the zero point of the 2h weapon models and is outside the scope of this mod.
