Descrição
(Version 2 to make timetabling easier plus removed a derailment if running 3 minutes late).
A B1 4-6-0 Nottingham Railway Society railtour in 1963, covering tracks that may be closing.
(Note: You need to go flat out up the 1:100 & 1:70 gradients - but keeping steam pressure up!)

Route: Netherfield - Nottingham Network
Duration: 45 minutes
Scenario: Standard
Extra DLC: Western Lines of Scotland: The Port Road
(Most engines are part of the route, with others from Western Lines of Scotland)

On a warm summer Sunday, take your railfans, who have been queuing up at the waiting carriages, from Nottingham Victoria, on a circuitous route to Newstead.

You start by going light engine into the tunnel and then reverse to then stop and fill up with water, before reversing on to your carriages, coupling up and letting your passengers on.

You will have to stop just beyond London Road station, but then you have a fairly clear run with stops at: Netherfield & Colwick, Gedling, Daybrook, Hucknall Town & finally Newstead.

You will pass engine sheds on this journey - a mix of diesel and steam.

There is plenty of lineside action - including lots of collieries, and side by side parallel route traffic.

It is important you obey the departure time of 12:27:00 at Daybrook and the departure time of 12:39:00 at Hucknall Town.

Other than that, enjoy the trip with your railfans.

I visited this area, in 1964 at 14 yrs old, with the Bristol Locospotters Club, via a coach day trip on a Sunday (always back very late/early Monday morning, much to my Dad's frustration). I visited about 9 engine sheds, including all on this route. A fantastic day.

It sounds like you had a great run with the B1 - which I always now expect from you Paul (pparnis). I am very pleased you bought this route. I shall be busy creating for this route for a few weeks. I hope you enjoy my 2 ECML scenarios - in opposite directions, between Dunston Staithes and Thrislington Colliery. Cheers.

Hello NS,
Have just purchased the Netherfield - Nottingham route and completed this challenge.
Nice run with the B1 stopper, arriving at Daybrook at 12:25 and leaving as requested at 12:27.
Arrived at Hucknall Town at 12:36 and departed as requested at 12:39.
The last couple of miles up the varying gradient, worst at 1:70 was quite challenging but arrived at Newstead at 12:45 using 90% regulator with 45% cutoff/reverser , just as D6864 was entering the platform.
Have also downloaded your NS76 for the ECML route, so will be soon trying that and yours and Heyjoe's other scenarios for the Netherfield-Nottingham route.
Thanks for sharing all of these,
Regards, Paul
