Basics
If you havent played the Tutorial, go F**king do it

The Basics
Okay, so you've spawned into your Unturned world, look around! Enjoy it! Now, back to work. Look for structures. The moment you see a building head to it, Now, here are the most common spawns.
  • City Spawn
  • Camp Spawn
  • Farm Spawn
Identify the type of spawn. From there you will jump to the specific section for that spawn.
Farm Spawn
First stop, The Barn. You want a Chainsaw and a Masterkey. The Chainsaw is arguably the best melee weapon in the game. The Masterkey is an extreamly good weapon for the early game in Multiplayer, but if your on Singleplayer you won't need it as there are no players trying to kill you. If you can't find a chainsaw, look for a Sythe or a Pitchfork. If you don't find a Masterkey, then move on to the next step.
Camp Spawn
Once you enter the Campsite, loot in this order, Lodge/House, Cabins, Tents, and Tables/Docks. Your looking for a Masterkey and a Campaxe. Masterkeys are extreamly good for defending against other players, as they are a DPS [/b]Monster at anything less than 20m. The Campaxe is a very good melee weapon, and doubles as a very reliable source of logs for base building. (See Bases for more info). Get a Plaid Shirt, Cargo Pants and a Travelpack. With this combination, you will be able to hold plenty of gear.
Town Spawn
This is arguably the best PVP spawn, its high-risk, high-reward, and also pretty intense if thats what your after. Once you enter the town look for a police station or military tents. If you find a police station first, look for a Bluntforce, its a 1 hit headshot at a very respectable range. You didn't find a Bluntforce? Get a Kobra, and as many boxes as possible. Its another amazing close range weapon and a DPS Monster too-boot. Found a Mili-Tent first? Look for either a Zubeknikov or a Heartbreaker depending on the map. Armor and a Helmet are a [/b]must have and an Alicepack is always super good too.
Moving up in Life(or Death)
If you haven't died yet, congradulations, if you have, refer to the basics. The next bit is map specific, skip to the Map your playing for the next step.
PEI
Ahh PEI, every long standing Unturned player remembers when it was just us, and PEI. PEI stands for Prince Edwards Island of the East Coast of Canada. Once you have your basic Gear, head to the Nearest City or if your brave, O'Leary Military Base and/or Confederation Bridge. Both have that same High-Risk, High-Reward factor that seems to attract all of you naked savages on the coasts. Citys are your one stop shop for:
  • Guns
  • Ammo
  • Food
  • Backpacks
  • Gas Cans
The next step is to find a car, in Multiplayer finding an unlocked car with all 4 tires intact, a battery, and maybe a little gas, is near impossible. Once you manage this, go ahead and gas it up with that gas can I had you get earlier. and Head to our Next stop. O'Leary and Confed-Bridge.

Now if your on Multiplayer, odds are the moment you step foot in either of those places without proper planning, your going to be sniped by some no life 12 year old in a full Ghillie with a Grizzly. "Well how do I get around this?" Good question, you get a pair of binoculars, now, get onto the roof of the tunnel on the main entrance point to the base, find a nice hiddy hole, and scope out the hills.

If you see an oddly suspicious bush with a big ass sniper, carefully sneak up behind them, go prone and crawl to them, and either bash his face in with an axe, Freddy Kruger him with a Chainsaw or blast him to the next school year with your trusty shotgun. Take his loot, and be on your way.
If you don't see an oddly suspicious bush with a big ass sniper, then steathly head into the base, and melee any zombies who detect you. Your looking for:
  • Helmet
  • Armor
  • Guns
  • MREs
  • NVGs
  • Attachments
Once you do this, get out as fast as possible and move on to the next step.
Washington
A darker map set somewhere in the United States with many pine trees, mountains, cover and height variation. This location was better prepared for the apocalypse, and the military attempted to fortify several locations.-Nelsons Trello

This is a map for PVP let me tell you. These Americans are the perfect example of 2nd Amendment pride, if theres a town, theres bound to be an Eaglefire. Get one, this Semi/Burst fire rifle is perfect for shredding through your enemies. If you get one, and find more, pick it up, right click it, and then click strip. Drop the empty gun once your done and Congrats! You have an extra magazine. Loot the Military Convoys or the Tunnels before you even contemplate Seattle or Olympia. Once you find a Heartbreaker, take the mag out of your Eaglefire, and then take the Heartbreaker. Its better. Fully Automatic, its the closest thing to a lawnmower that Nelson has added, it will Mow down pretty much anyone you meet. So its a good thing. Your also going to be looking for:
  • Armor
  • a Helmet
  • Mili-Mags
  • Alicepack (if your lucky)
  • NVGs (if your lucky)
  • MREs
  • Grenades are good too, stock up on them for later (See Raiding for more info)
Russia
This is the one of the largest maps, featuring massive citys, large military bases, a massive Deadzone and other exotic locations! If you haven't played the other maps, DONT START HERE! This map is very different from the others. This map takes the High-Risk, High-Reward to an entirely new level, the Military base is absolutly massive, with a fair amout of loot, and a extreamly high zombie population. The citys have a fair amount of loot, and an even higher zombie populations. I don't recomend the Military Base, unless your looking for a Heli. Instead you need to head to the far East and loot the Firewatch Towers and Base, farm the towers as long as it takes for you to get a Gas mask, and at least 4 filters, more is always better. If you decided to go to the Military Base and get a heli, go to the Oil Drill, if not head to Silo 22. DO NOT use a melee weapon, the zombies here are way harder to kill and explode green bile, use a gun, and stay away, your looking for:
  • Alicepacks
  • High Tier Guns
  • Tank (if at Silo)
  • Ammo
  • Explosives
  • Grenades (See Raiding for more info)
Base Building
Note: This section is not a How-to on base building. It is a series of Location and design recomendations
Hills, Hills, Hills. I can't say it enough, build your base at the highest point you can, this both makes it harder to find, as people are nutoriosly bad about looking up, and it makes it harder to raid. By restricting raiders to only attacking the floor or door, you have way more options for defence. (Good for any size group)
Underwater. If you don't want to be found, this is your best bet. People only go into the water if their lives depend on it, so its perfectly safe to find a nice deep area, get an oxygenator, and set up shop at the sea floor. Try to use metal or birch as they blend better. (Good for Large Groups 4+)
PreFabs/Already Raided bases are both good locations. Raiders tend to look past pre-raided bases so as long as you hide in the ruins, odds are your safe for a bit. Pre-Fabs are bases build in buildings already on the map. Ex. Farm House, Barn, Tower, Apartment Building, etc. (Best for Solo or Small 2-3 Member Team)
Skybase. Remember that 12yo Ghillie on the hill? This is probably his base. Typically occupied by the largest factions or clans. Or Admins. These have the most loot and are also the hardest to raid as you need to contest both the max world height and finding a way up. (Good for Massive Groups of 8+ at least)

Once you pick your location, you need a Design. The three most common are:
  • Floor Bases
  • Tp bases
  • Honeycomb Hell

* Floor Bases are typically 3x3s build off a hill so that they place a roof instead of foundation in the middle and store their look bellow the floor.
*TP Bases, you can only build these on servers with the /home command. These bases are typically large bases not unlike Honeycomb Hell that you can only access by using the command /home to teleport to the loot.
*Honeycomb Hell is arguably the safest and most common type of base. It involves 3-5 layers of sealed compartments that intruders need to destroy to reach the main storage rooms. There is typically a line of said compartments that have doors and are refered to as "Air Locks". These are designed to prevent someone camping the door and shooting you before you can close the door again, giving them free reign of your bases. If they do kill you, you still have atleast 1 other door preventing easy access.
Raiding
So little savages, you've managed to aquire raw explosives, and grenades. You've build a base fit for a king even! You've got all the guns and[/screenshot] ammo you could ]dream of! But whats that? You want more? Well why not take it form someone else!? That guy on the other hill is always going out in his full Spec Ops with an Ekho and a Honeybadger, you asked for a little gear when you were fresh off the coast, and what did he do? Well he shot you of course! Why not get revenge.

First step is Sticky Grenades
Combine 1 Glue, 1 Wire, 1 Raw Explosives, and 1 Fragmentation Grenade
This will make a Sticky Grenade.

Craft as many of these as you can, your going to need them
Next step is the Demolition Charge
Combine 1 Wire, 1 Raw Explosive, and 1 Sticky Grenade

Now that you have your array of explosives, you'll need a Detonator. Farm Mega Zombies, and Military Bases for these.

Once you get your detonator, equipt your Demolition Charges, place them on the doorframe. Now take the Detonatior and equipt it. Place your cursor over the demo charges, right click. Now stand back and watch the fireworks.

Another, easier way to raid is to farm Mega's and Horde Beacons for Nykorevs and/or Dragonfangs. /give 132
Your going to need alot of boxes, so get grinding kiddies.
Late Game
So, you've read this whole guide, you followed my instructions. Now you have all of your hard earned gear, plus what you stole when you raided those other peoples bases. You have a huge base and a massive group of your friends. What now?
Heres a list of ♥♥♥♥ I do with my friends when we get super geared.
  • Make a roaming death squad
  • Kidnap nakeds
  • Harass the kids still building their bases
  • Raid everyone we havent raided
  • Place 10 Horde Beacons in Seattle and Watch
And last, but certainly not least!
