Failed To Install Mod Map Error
What It is?
When trying to connect to a server containing mods, you might come across the common error Failed To Install Mod Map and you wont be able to connect, this can be very annoying as ot could happen when trying to join a server you regularly play on

How To Fix?
I ran into this error last week and it turns out the solution is actually pretty simple. First thing you want to do is unsubscribe to all of your ark mods from the steam workshop, You can find this by going from the Ark workshop>Subscribed items in the drag down option towards the center of the screen. After you do this, Close ARK/Steam, you will need to open up This PC>Your boot>Program Files (x86)>
Steam>Steam Apps>Common>Ark Shooter Game>Content>Mods

After you get to this point you will need to delete everything in the mods folder, but not the foler
itself. The issue might be with just one mod, but by deleting them all you can be sure. Now you may realise you cant delete the mods as you dont have permission, this is normal, simply go to task manager (CTRL+Alt+Del) and look for the program iGFXCUservice module

End this task, you will now have permission to delete the mod files (not the mod file itself) After that you can resubscribe to all the mods again, wait for them all to install in steam and open up ark again and enjoy your game ;)
Hope This Helped

another reason this can occur is due to some servers containing mods that get removed off the workshop. a server can still have the mod unless they remove it however anyone that did not have the mod downloaded before the mod was removed will not be able to access the server, ending in the good old "failure to install mod map" situation. Example is the Mts stacking 300-50 mod which was previously removed from steam but people still had it in their mod list for their servers

Please help, when closing the iGFXCUservice module file in task manager, it says that i dont have permission. What do i do? Without closing iGFXCUservice module but just deinstalling all the files in the mods file, the files in mods file wont delete, but they will just stay there.

@josesolismusic it Is maybe from the workshop download folder, what you can try now is just validate game files at this point, it can fix mod loading if the files need be verified after previous attempt to download them.

This doesn't work. I delete everything, then when I open back Steam, as soon as I open the game, it starts loading the mods again. I go to try to get in the server I was invited to and it give me the same message.

That process is exclusive to integrated graphics cpu's and the problem is common for other conflicts it too seems and after installing valguero it break the mods also for some reasons. It can be a download interuption, file permission conflict or process locking. Right now it seems like steam workshop is lag too much for the mods to download properly in the first place.. a backup mod directory can work, but it can get trashed easily when trying to touch or update it again. The download directory must be cleared when the mods fail to download and also they are server/player specific, not just the mod directory, but the one in steam/common/workshop/downloads + possibly computer restart in between and a flawless connection to steam workshop on a good hour of the day all matters for this. In what order depends...
