Airport Props
118 items
Description
A pack of plane stand props for an airport. These shapes were taken from aerial photos in the US. The stands have no texture applied to them, except for a color texture, which is a solid white 32x32 texture. Additionally, they each have 3 color variations added to them: White, Yellow, and Red (randomly chosen then placed).
Each model is farily low poly 46-128 Tris, with an LOD 14-70 Tris.

Contents:
Each plane stand is listed with the aircraft wingspan it can accomodate.
Note, however, larger aircraft can be parked in smaller plane stands if there is adequite clearance around them (e.g. by not using adjacent stands).

  • 27m
  • 28m
  • 36m
  • 38m
  • 43m
  • 48m/68m (has dashed lines for 68m)
  • 68m

Here is a list of aircraft wingspans for reference:
  • Dash-8-400: 28m
  • Dash-8-300: 27m
  • CRJ-200: 21m
  • CRJ-900: 25m
  • ERJ-145: 21m
  • ERJ-175: 29m
  • ERJ-195: 29m
  • A320: 36m
  • A321: 36m
  • B737: 29-36m
  • B757: 38m
  • B747: 60-68m
  • B777: 60-65m
  • B787: 60m

From what I have seen, most airports do not have plane stand markings (besides a centerline and stop bar) for an A380, due to its size. So I will not list it above.
If I missed any aircraft that are in the game from the workshop, or I made a mistake, please let me know.

You can also use Prop Painter addon for Move it mod, however it does have click-through issues so it may not be as useful.

@Kirbs They should randomly cycle through the 3 main colors (white, red, and yellow). Try placing it again until you get the color that you want.

@pardo_vini The typical method is to make a loop with the taxiway, so that there is always one going in and one going out (I recall seing the plane AI back-up before on a taxiway, but I wouldn't rely on that behavior).
As for the runway crossing / connections... you are better off connecting them where you want the planes to enter / exit, and leaving the rest as dummy connections (it can end over the runway, just not be snapped to it - use the move-it mod on the node). The plane AI tends to pick the shortest possible path, so that could mean turning onto / off of the runway at weird places (I have had planes still going through the landing animation as they pulled into the planestand).

By the way, it's my first time making a custom airport. I want two Runways and several gates, let me ask you:
-the plane stands need to be connected to the taxiway, but they are one way, so I'm making a Y (taxiway in, stand, taxiway out) 'cause I don't konw if the plane will go back if not in this mathod.
-any problem have an intersection with taxiways? or taxiways crossin runways? The planes will cross it?
-the plane what arrived in runway A, only will take off by the same runway A, right?
-can I connect more than one runway to a terminal gate?

@vasimr22 Thanks for the fast response. Man, I've been playing all night long modeling my airport using your assets, and still it's not the way I want...

@prado_vini These are props, as stated in the description, and on the asset tag. Props are unable to function in any way (only buildings can function). So if you are asking if they are functional from an aestetic perspective, yes, that is their purpose. But if you want to know if planes will stop at them, you need plane stand buildings which will interact with the plane AI.

Are they functional? The planes will stop on it?

@Overlord Ah, I don't think it matches any of mine, however, as I recall, it's a bit oddly shapped / sized. You are better off using mine, which are actually based on plane stands at real airports, and have been tested against proxy models of the aircraft listed above. The only exception would be that the one in the pack below may work better for A380s.
