How to Fix Lag in GTA Online

Fix Stuttering in GTA

The Stutters will occure if you have a good GPU (Graphic card) but a bad CPU.
For me its an Q6600 @3,00 GHz and a GTX 1060 from Nvidia

There are 2 Options.

p.s im not native American so, sorry for any spelling mistakes.

1st Method

Go into your GTA Settings > Graphic > VSYNC > Select Half
VSYNC is limiting your fps to the Refreshrate of your Monitor, so if you have anything above 60HZ this wont work and you need to use the 2nd Method

2nd Method

So for this you have to download Riva Tuner Statistics

Once its Installed you see a little Icon in the taskbarn right click on it and select "Show"

A Windows will pop opening.
On the left side are all your programms, if GTAV.exe isnt in there add it manually by clicking on the + Icon and go to your installationsfolder of GTAV.
Standard is C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V
Then you Should see GTA5.exe on the left side, select it and on the right side click on framerate limit and select 45 then press Enter.

Best fix I noticed came from HDD upgrade I must say. 7200 RPM cant handle the game properly while nvme works like a charm.

I made my own tool for this; it adjusts process priority so the game actually works right. It also sets Discord's priority higher so no audio problems cause it's a stupid Electron app. This also stops background virus scans temporarily and search indexing... but yet nobody wants to make their game/software actually take higher priority like it should.

I say fuck it, fix it yourself if you're a C programmer.

The easiest way for best settings or at least... good settings is to use the NVidia GeForce Experience software. Install it to keep drivers up to date AND to find best settings for a lot of your games. I can't exactly tell how smoothly something will run with your hardware but this is the easiest way for the best setup.
