Introduction

Note: There have been look-a-like copycat guides popping up. If it's not labeled by THN (The Horror Network), it's NOT one of mine and therefore not up to the quality that I aim to provide.

Welcome to the Planescape: Torment - Enhanced Edition achievement guide.

What This Guide Is NOT: A walkthrough. After being out for a decade and a half, Planescape: Torment has more than enough detailed, thorough walkthroughs on the internet. If you need one, use a search engine of your choice to find one.

What This Guide Is: An achievement guide. There are some MINOR walkthrough steps in order to get you through the process of attaining some achievements, such as finding certain companions or joining factions.

THIS. GUIDE. CONTAINS. MAJOR.
SPOOOOOOOIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLERRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSS

SPOILERS. BIG ONES. YE HAVE BEEN WARNED.

WARNING. WARNING. WARNING.
There IS a way that you can completely screw up your game!!!
If you annoy the Lady of Pain more than once, SHE WILL PERMANENTLY KILL YOU, THUS ENDING YOUR GAME ENTIRELY. INCLUDING DESTROYING YOUR SAVE GAME.
To avoid this, avoid doing the following!
DO NOT: Kill Dabus, Kill Innocents (Civilians), Worship the Lady of Pain via the Ragdoll, or become a Follower of Aoskar.

This guide is considered COMPLETE

Strength in Betrayal
Dealt with Trias the Betrayer
You are given the choice to spare or kill Trias. The achievement is confirmed for sparing him, but it is believed that it will unlock regardless of your decision. Just save before hand to be sure.

Parting Sorrows
Defeated your adversary.
Defeat the final boss, or merge with him.
Companions
Trust the Skull
Discovered the truth of why Morte is with you.
You will need to make sure that Fall-From-Grace joins your party. Once she does, speak to her about your companions, Morte specifically. Tell her that he told you that he's a Mimir, but that you don't believe him. Go through the dialogue branches until you have to ask about something else, then talk to Morte. Ask him why he's with you, and keep pressuring him to tell you the truth. Eventually you will uncover a memory, and he'll give a rather long dialogue as to why he's with you.

Endure. In enduring, grow strong.
Gained Dak'kon as a companion.
In the Smoldering Corpse Bar, when the conversation with Dak'kon turns to the city of Sigil, Dak'kon asserts that it doesn't *know* itself. If you have more than 13 points in either Wisdom or Intelligence, Dak'kon can also state various Truths about the city, which can impact your alignment. With 14 Intelligence, you can respond to the following question by implying that Dak'kon himself might be flawed. Then, you have the opportunity to say that we *know* ourselves through questions, which Dak'kon recognizes as his own words, and prompts Dak'kon to offer to join the party.

Shattered Circle
Discovered why Dak'kon's faith is shattered.
Dak'kon can teach you in the ways of Zerthimon when you become a mage. For this, talk to him about his teachings and then about the circle of Zerthimon. You'll have to study the circle of Zerthimon's circles to learn the teachings.
There are a total of eight circles to learn. Dak'kon will show you how to unlock the first six circles, but the seventh and eighth circle you will have to figure out how to unlock by yourself (that's where your intelligence comes in), also, in order to learn each teaching correctly you will need a certain amount of wisdom. It's best to follow THIS[shrines.rpgclassics.com] guide. As well, THIS [http//shttp]page will help explain the circles better.

Closing the Circle
Restored Dak'kon's faith.
For more information, see the aforementioned achievement, Shattered Circle.

Streaming Blade
Advance Dak'kon's karach blade to highest honor point.
The "streaming" blade is equipped automatically by Dak'kon when his morale is high. Achieving a high morale requires showing Dak'kon he is valued: asking him for his opinion, letting him speak when he wishes, and telling him you wish to free him from his indebted-slavery all increase his morale. It may also be necessary to invest time into learning the Unbroken Circle of Zerthimon. Level Dak'kon to 10, and the achievement will unlock.

Enchained Blade
Advance Dak'kon's karach blade to highest neutral point.
The "chained" blade is Dak'kon's default blade, and it is automatically equipped by him when he is Neutral. Level Dak'kon to 10, and the achievement will unlock.

Kin-Stealer
Advance Dak'kon's karach blade to highest evil point.
The "kin-stealer" blade is equipped automatically by Dak'kon when his morale is low. Reaching a low morale requires belittling Dak'kon and acting cruelly in matters involving slavery and/or the gith. Level Dak'kon to 10, and the achievement will unlock.

Annah, Rose of my Eye
Gained Annah as a companion.
Although she can be found on the streets of Sigil very early in the game, she only becomes a companion at the mid-portion of the game, where she will automatically join the party after you have completed The Bronze Sphere quest for Pharod.

Priestess of no Goddess
Gained Fall-From-Grace as a companion.
Fall-from-Grace can be found during the mid-game at her Brothel for Slaking Intellectual Lusts in the Clerk's Ward. The Nameless One requires a relatively high amount of intelligence and charisma to convince Grace to leave her brothel to journey with him to the other planes. You must first complete a quest to talk to her ten "ladies of the night", after which you will be given dialogue options to convince her to join your party.

The Sssmoldering Corpssse
Gained Ignus as a companion.
In order to free Ignus, The Nameless One must retrieve the Decanter of Endless Water from the Drowned Nations, then learn of the word to empower it from Glyve, the spirit possessing the stone face in the Catacombs, and finally learn the word from Nemelle in the Clerk's Ward. Using it on Ignus will free him and recruit him into the party.

Backwards Modron
Gained Nordom as a companion.
He can only be found by buying the Metallic Cube from the exotic items section of the Curiosity Shop. It turns out to be a Modron Cube. Speak with either the Modrons in the Brothel for Slaking Intellectual Lusts or ask Yvana, the owner of Art and Curio Galleria to learn that the Cube is a portal. You will then have to nagivate a randomly generated maze, twice, to get him. Refer to THIS[shrines.rpgclassics.com] guide for a fully detailed walkthrough.

Creative Die-Rector
Defeated the Modron Wizard.
After finding Nordom and proceeding through the maze, you will find a Wizard. It's a tough battle, so go in prepared with all types of healing items. If you followed the above guide, you should be well prepared.
Companions Pt. 2
No Longer = Total Logic
Help Nordom resolve his issue,
obtained by having conversations with Nordom and getting him fully upgraded:

After disposing of the Wizard talk to Nordom again, ask about the field test and the previous director as well. He now knows that the former director was killed by the Wizard, tell him you are the new director and he gets +1 INT, +1 DEX and 36000 exp. Ask Nordom about your functions as director... be sure to ask him about the tasks his previous director had him doing, you can get some pretty nifty items from some of those.

You can also do a bunch of other neat upgrades to Nordom, depending on your profession:
· A fighter upgrade: -2 INT, +1 DEX, +1 ♥♥♥, -2 AC and 36000 exp;
· A mage upgrade: +2 INT, Twisted Gear of Enoll Eva and 36000 exp;
· A thief upgrade: -2 STR, +2 DEX and 36000 exp;
With a high CHR you can do a final upgrade to Nordom, the motivation speech, this gets him +1 STR, +1 ♥♥♥ and 60000 exp.

Through Justice, Perfection
Gained Vhailor as a companion.
Vhailor is found relatively late in the game in a magically sealed prison cell located under Curst, in Curst Prison. He can immediately join the party after conversing with him for the first time. Once the portal to Ravel's Maze is entered, there will not be an opportunity to return until after coming to Curst Prison, where Vhailor can be found. If the party is full with six companions, then he can be recruited for the XP, but either he or another Companion will be lost forever in Curst Prison, as there is no coming back. Players should leave Sigil for Ravel's Maze with five or fewer companions.

What the Flames Teach
Discovered your connection to Ignus
In order to obtain this achievement you must first speak with Reekwind and hear his story about Ignus in the Southwest market area of the Hive. After hearing his story, you'll be able to ask Ignus who trained him in the art. Follow that line of dialogue, recover a memory, and this achievement will unlock.
Factions
The True Death
Join Dustmen.
This is the first faction that you have the chance to join, and it's one of the easiest as well. Simply go to the Gathering Dust bar (near the Mortuary, southwest) and then talk to Emoric; he will give you some quests to do. Upon their completion, you will be able to join the Dustmen. If you have any problems, look up a quest guide.

Society of Sensation
Join Sensates.
In order to join, head north in the Clerk's Ward and go to the Civic Festhall. Once inside, speak with Splinter and ask about the Sensoriums. He will tell you that the private sensorium is only available to members of the Sensates. Or, you can ask about the Sensates. You should now have an option to ask Splinter to join, whereupon you will be given... yes, more quests. If you have any problems, look up a quest guide.

Anarch Agenda
Join Anarchists.
In order to join the Anarchists, you’ll need to get the password to give to Scofflaw Penn at the Print Shop. The obvious way to get the password is to help out Bedai-Lihn, an Anarchist who has infiltrated the Godsmen. (Just make sure you don’t turn her in for the murder you need to solve to join the Godsmen faction, or you obviously won’t have this option.) You can find her in the balcony in Godsman Hall. After you’ve joined the Godsmen, confide in her that you’re having doubts, and she’ll ask you to help her sabotage the machine the Godsmen are building. Just don’t express concern for the poor innocent workers who might get hurt, or she’ll withdraw her request.

N'joi Ts'Cai'Sotex
Join Xaositects.
This is best saved for your Chaotic playthrough, since you must have an alignment that is Chaotic to join this faction. In order to do that, you must never tell the truth and do the opposite of everything you are expected to do. Talk to Barking Wilder, located near the Smoldering Corpse Bar. When talking to him, pick the options where the words are out of order (i.e., moons/snoom), sing the rhyming song, etc. Do NOT choose "Can I join the Chaosmen?"; choose the option that does not make sense.
Alignment & Class
Balance in All Things
Maintained True Neutral Alignment until the end of the game.
Staying Neutral requires a careful balance between Good and Evil or Lawful and Chaotic actions on The Nameless One's part. I suggest looking at THIS[torment.wikia.com] page for more detailed information on alignments. Take on the principle of for one good thing you do, you must do an evil act to balance it. Save often, in case one of your decisions tips the scales too far.

Noble Spirit
Reach Good Alignment (any).
In order to become Good, The Nameless One should:
- Be helpful to others
- Never ask for a reward in return for doing a task
- Never kill innocents
- Never threaten anyone
Telling the truth and lying don't generally affect Goodness, as they influence Law and Chaos instead.

Deva's Heart
Reach Lawful Alignment (any).
In order to become Lawful, The Nameless One should:
- Tell the Truth
- Never Lie
- Never break a Vow
- Not join the Anarchists or the Xaositects
- Not taunt Morte or have conversations with skeletons, zombies or bark at madmen.

Chaos Bringer
Reach Chaotic Alignment (any).
In order to become Chaotic, The Nameless One should:
- Lie and bluff
- Break vows
- Join the Anarchists or the Xaositects
- Be impulsive: taunt Morte, have conversations with skeletons or zombies, or bark at madmen

Dark Intent
Reach Evil Alignment (any).
In order to become Evil, The Nameless One should:
- Threaten people
- Kill innocents (BEWARE! This can cause the Lady of Pain to Maze you OR PERMANENTLY END YOUR GAME).
- Demand rewards for tasks
- Steal
Telling the truth and lying don't generally affect Evilness, as they influence Law and Chaos instead.

Call of the Shadows
Train to become a Thief.
The first time you're able to train to become a Thief will be when you encounter Carver, who is southwest of the door to the first (most easterly) house along the southern edge of Ragpicker's Square. After this, Annah can train you back to being a Thief if you change your class.

One-With-Shadows
Reach level 12 in Thief class before any other class.
Each class has their own separate level. For instance, if you've reached level 9 in Mage class, and switch back to Fighter, you'll find that you're still where you left off in that class; IE: level 5 if that's the point where you moved on. Reach level 12 in the Thief class before any other.

Call of the Art
Train to become a Mage.
Of the three classes, the Mage is the last one that you'll come across. The first Mage trainer is Old Mebbeth, who is located in the Midwife's Hut in Ragpicker's Square. You'll have to do a series of quests for her before she'll teach you the art, though.

Master of the Art
Reach level 12 in Mage class before any other class.
Each class has their own separate level. For instance, if you've reached level 9 in Mage class, and switch back to Fighter, you'll find that you're still where you left off in that class; IE: level 5 if that's the point where you moved on. Reach level 12 in the Mage class before any other.

Call of the Blade
Switch back to Fighter class over the course of the game.
You'll start as a Fighter, but once you switch your class you can always switch to another one so long as there's a trainer near by. Simply switch to either Thief or Mage, then find a Fighter trainer. If you have Dak'kon in your group, he can switch you between Fighter and Mage at any time. Porphiron in the Northwestern Area of Sigil, east of the Flophouse, is also a Fighter trainer.

Master of Blades
Reach level 12 in Fighter class before any other class.
Each class has their own separate level. For instance, if you've reached level 9 in Mage class, and switch back to Fighter, you'll find that you're still where you left off in that class; IE: level 5 if that's the point where you moved on. Reach level 12 in the Fighter class before any other.
Misc.
"...yourself in your full glory."
Advance an attribute score to 25.
Relatively easy, though time consuming. Many quests will increase your stats, but I suggest just putting your attribute points into one singular stat until this goal is met. If you're a mage, it will most likely be your charisma that nets you this feat.

Lady's Gaze
Drew the Lady's Gaze and got mazed.
For this you need to annoy the Lady of Pain, which can be achieved by becoming a Follower of Aoskar, killing Dabus, killing Innocents (Civilians), or by worshipping a Lady of Pain doll. Do this on an alternate save, or do it without saving on your main file, because if you annoy her more than once, your SAVE GAME IS PERMANENTLY ERASED.

Cagebreaker
Escaped the Lady's Maze - this time.
You must annoy the Lady of Pain in order to be sent to the maze. Refer to THIS[www.sorcerers.net] guide on how to escape.

Ol' Stuttercrutch's Horde
Found Pharod's Vault. It smells in there.
In order to enter Pharod's vault, you will need the key to the portal, Pharod's Crutch. This can be obtained by killing Pharod, but you can obtain it without killing him after entering the Tenement of Thugs (shortly after the brief opportunity to kill him). Take the Crutch to the northwestern portion of the room and a portal will appear. Simply enter the portal and this achievement will unlock.

All too Real
Gave birth to Adahn through belief.
Keep introducing yourself as Adahn instead of saying you have no name. After a while, an NPC by this name will appear in the Smoldering Corpse Bar.

Branchings
Met all of Ravel's branching incarnations in Sigil.
- Mebbel in Ragpickers Square
- Eivene in the Mortuary
- The old woman mender in the Buried Village

Upon meeting Ravel, after much conversation, you will need to talk to her about all of the forms she has taken on. After all dialogue ends with her, and before fighting her, the achievement will unlock.

Unity of Rings
Returned to Mebbeth and restored Unity of Rings.
Simply talk to Mebbeth once you've returned from Curst.

The Named One
Your name, at last.
Ensure that you gain the Bronze Sphere after Pharod dies, and keep it with you until the end of the game. After you've talked to your other incarnations, you can unlock it.

Deincarnation
Kill all 3 incarnations in Fortress of Regrets.
When you encounter your three incarnations in the Fortress of Regrets, simply kill them all instead of having htem merge with you.

Triincarnation
Absorb all 3 incarnations in Fortress of Regrets.
When you encounter your three incarnations in the Fortress of Regrets, merge with them instead of killing them. Note that this will require a 21+ score in Wisdom or Intelligence.

Nameless ONE
Entered the Fortress of Regrets on your own.
Enter the Fortress after dismissing entire party. Make sure to save before you enter, and then reload and go in alone. This is end-game content.

Two Deaths As One
Issued Pronouncement of Two Deaths of One at Fortress of Regrets.
Choose to resurrect Dak'kon before the final fight against the Transcendent One. This is end-game content.

To Every Question, An Answer
Gave the Transcendent One an answer to a "meaningless question."
Ask the Transcendent One what can change the nature of a man and follow that up with the answer: Belief. You need 24 Wisdom in order to do this. This is end-game content.

for some reason the "Strength in Betrayal" achievement won't unlock for me
pesialg 8 nov. 2022 à 3h01
Last thing I forgot, getting Adahn requires you to lie (ie making you chaotic if not careful) multiple times (refer to the wiki as you may need to do 10+ out of 16, some of which are blocked or made inaccessible if done wrongly), so you may need to do both runs 2-3 w/ one of each lawful good and chaotic evil. You also need to lvl up three professions anyway, and each run can only lvl two professions to 12 at most w/ no grinding.

Hope this helped anyone avoid the rookie mistakes!
pesialg 4 nov. 2022 à 11h06
As per the X playthrough/s needed before 100%, its not less then two! The true neutral alignment alone demands its own run, but you need to get the other alignments so these two require one run each (pure neutral / mixed alignment). All the other alignments / factions / de/triincarnation / etc can be played within one run, albeit a bit tedious! But Dakkons blade is a problem as morale fiddling is both rare, not shown to the player, AND requires lvl10. As stated below, two can be acquired on the same save (by reload) and Enchained is the only one left out!

TL;DR ~
Run 0 - Probably your first blind run.
Run 1 - True Neutral run (speedrun, less tipping), + maybe Enchained if not speed
Run 2 - All non neutral alignments + Kinsteal and Streamblade + All the other acheevos not in Run 0, if any
Run 3 (Optional) - Alignments not in Run 2 + Enchained (if not already)

In theory you can get all these with reloads, but thats way too impractical imo.
pesialg 4 nov. 2022 à 10h27
Apparently, dedicating an entire run being nice to Dakkon for Streamblade is USELESS. Literally got both Kinsteal and Streamblade at the very end of the run (specifically before the portal to the fortress). Doesnt matter if you treat Dakkon as trash, as long as you learned all eight circles before getting him to lvl10 youll automatically get Streamblade even if he has Kinsteal. Just get Kinsteal first, reload, learn the eight and youll get them both sigh

How many playthroughs to get em all?

I couldn't get "No Longer = Total Logic" achievement because: As of the Enhanced Edition, there is only one way to mess up Nordom's upgrades. If the player kill the Evil Wizard without making him confess to killing the previous Creative Director, the "Director" upgrade and its subsequent upgrades will be locked out. All of the upgrades can be done in any order, except for the "Director" subsequent upgrades which can be obtained only after getting the "Director" upgrade.

It seems it is not sufficient to just answer the question to achieve "To Every Question, an Answer". I had to follow through with willing myself to die. Merging or defeating the boss didn't do it.
