How select best tower, relic for it and ascention bonuses

Here i try describe difference in towers and how choose better relics and ascention bonuses for every tower, depend on tower stats progression. Maked for self-use, you can have another opinion. Trendy can change values with time, so use this information provide "as is", it provides no warrant or assurances. Fix me in comments if you have another data.

General things
Almost all tower stats have linear progression. Tower max health, normal and critical attacks, range for every one base stat point have constant incease to value in tower. For found this constants i collect base stats without any equip\ascention bonuses for every character, stats with different relics\ascention bonuses and compare they. Mostly stat-value pairs had linear progression. Other tower attributes not change with base stat or have reverce progression, like attack rate - as more stat you have, as lower value of rate. Depend on collected data i try select best relic for different towers and describe my oppinion.
Below you see towers stats and progressions for it. Good idea select best progression and use relic for it. Here i use only tier 1 towers, no data about tower stats of other tiers for now.

DPS
Usually DSP calculate as (ATK*(100-CRIT CHANGE)+(CRIT ATK+ATK)*CRIT CHANCE)*RATE
But there are some towers what have another DPS calculation

DEF SPEED
Common sense of DEF SPEED - speed up tower fire rate, you can think that if you very increase DEF SPEED, DPS very increase too. Right and not, All depend on basic DEF SPEED and basic fire rate. General formula RATE = BASE RATE*BASE DEF SPEED/DEF SPEED, so if tower have 4000 DEF SPEED base - you need found relic with 4000 DEF SPEED for increase DPS twice. Very often easier take another relic, not orb

DEF CRIT DMG
Usually BASE CRIT DMG = 5x BASE ATK DMG, so CRIT ATK = 5 CRIT DMG +1 ATK = 6 ATK. So if your normal DPS with 10% CRIT = 0.9*ATK+0.1*6ATK = 1.5*ATK, DPS with 30% CRIT = 0.7ATK + 0.3*6*ATK = 2.5 ATK.
That if you have same DEF CRIT DMG and DEF DMG stats values.

DEF CRIT PWR -VS- DEF PWR
Question: what is better, crit atk or normal atk? If there simple tower with 5x normal damage on crit, then with increasing normal damage twice and 10% crit you have DPS = 0.9*2*ATK+0.1*5*ATK = 2.3 ATK, if increase crit damage twice then DPS = 0.9*ATK+0.1*2*0.5ATK = 1.9ATK. With 20% crit there 2.6ATK and 2.8ATK. Answer - if you leave 10% crit - use normal attack, else - crit damage better. If you have choise - mark or medalion - think do you use crit. If yes - use DEF CRIT PWR, if no - DEF PWR

DEF CRIT PWR -VS- DEF SPEED
Question: what is better, crit atk or def speed? My test on relics from c3 show that mark better on 15% around, but orb incease speed twice. So use orb for combos and mark for damage

RANGE GAMBIT
Usually range gambit give 50% to base tange (and remove 1500 DEF PWR, a lot!), but If tower have low range progression (below 0.5), i think better not leveling gambits, coz that towers have low area of effect by default.

Simple tower. Nothing special to say. Use it in combo with freezing, for capture creeps into ice and crush. Have fine attack progression and crit progression.

Effectiveness

1900 basic ATK in 3s basic Speed per 30 mana give 21 ATK/s per 1 mana

Ascention

Range gambit give 1500 to DEF RANGE. That mean in 50lv of talent you have 3000 tower range - 50% more than base, but you lose 14500 ATK. If you want use this talent - better choise mark.
Every DEF PWR talent point give 190 ATK, DEF HP talent point give 450 Max HP, Speed talent on max lv give 5% to atk rate, reduce 0.15s.

Great crit progression. Fine range progression. Maybe can be usable orb, and speed up shard, but it very reduce ATK values. I still have no T5 equip (yes, i lame who write guides), so can't say what better here.

Effectiveness

3600 basic ATK in 5s basic Speed per 30 mana give 12 ATK/s per 1 mana. As it projectile tower effectiveness increase with enemies count

Ascention

Range gambit give 1500 to DEF RANGE. That mean in 50lv of talent you have 3750 tower range - 50% more than base, but you lose 27000 ATK. Same as with cannonball tower.
Every DEF PWR talent point give 360 ATK, DEF HP talent point give 450 Max HP, Speed talent on max lv give 5% to atk rate, reduce 0.25s.

Wonderful, but it blockade too. In before Trials times Dummy had less HP, so it was bad blockade. Now it usable too. Totem, i think.

Effectiveness

250 basic ATK in 1s basic Speed per 30 mana give 8 ATK/s per 1 mana. On max rotate speed effectiveness increase twice

About DEF SPEED
Dummy have DPS in range.
Lower limit is always 0.625xATK. Example - if ATK = 250 (for DEF PWR = 200), then lower limit = 0.625*200 = 125
Upper limit depend on DEF SPEED by next: Max DPS = (DEF SPEED)/(BASE DEF SPEED = 4000)*(BASE MAX DPS = 500)/(BASE ATK = 250)*ATK. Example - if ATK = 300 and DEF SPEED = 5000, then upper limit = (5000/4000)*(500/250)*300 = 750. Final formula - Max DPS = ((DEF SPEED)/4000)*2*ATK

Ascention

Every DEF PWR point give 18.75 ATK, mean 37.5 to max DPS if there no speed up, DEF HP point give 4500HP, Speed talent on max lv give 5% to max DPS.

Support tower with not so many atk.

440 basic ATK in 1s basic Speed per 40 mana give 11 ATK/s per 1 mana. Projectile, so effectiveness increase with enemies count

Ascention

Range gambit give 1500 to DEF RANGE. That mean in 50lv of talent you have 3124 tower range - 25% more than base, but you lose 3300 ATK. Not so big atk lose, due low def pwr progression, By standart, if you want this talent, use mark for equalize dps.
Every DEF PWR talent point give 44 ATK, DEF HP talent point give 450 Max HP, Speed talent on max lv give 5% to atk rate, reduce 0.05s.

Super crit progression. Need check what better here orb or mark. Have crush damage, as cannonball. Can punch to air. Maybe orb even better for combos. Same problem as with balista.

Ascention

Range gambit give 1500 to DEF RANGE. That mean in 50lv of talent you have 4500 tower range - 50% more than base, but you lose 1500 ATK and 6000 Poison DMG. Poison can't crit, so use they only on C4+ when you can equalize poison loses. But from another side, this tower fire 6 darts at once, so i dunno about right choice. Need check in game.

BigMic, i found that there no start stat, so for found progression just take current stat value (from 'e' info) and divide it to stat pwr(from hero deck). Ramsters have 7000 crit damage from 200 crit power, so progression = 7000/200 = 35 (here i won), Flamethrower have 2200 atk per 1000 def pwr, so progression 2200/1000 = 2.2 (here you win, thank for fix me)

How did you find out those progression factors? Mine are a bit different to yours.
Skeletal Ramsters: CRIT PWR -> 35x
and Flametower from App only 2.2x DEF PWR Progression
