How to use weapons in CS:GO

In this guide I will cover how to use the weapons in CS:GO. These include:
-Pistols
-Shotguns
-Snipers
-Assult Rifles
-Light Machine Guns
-Sub-Machine guns

Pistols
During a year of my experience with CS:GO, after 1600 hours on the game I know how it works.
The pistols are the first thing we will look at.

I will start with the T-side pistols first, these include:
- Glock-18
- Tec-9

With Glock-18 you just have to spam the head on pistol rounds and you will probably win the round, unless the CT's have good aim and they will 1tap you with usp-s/P2000 as soon as you peak a corner.
However, the penetration on its is low against armour, so as I said above, spam the head.

With Tec-9, the most effective way is to run and shoot your enemy. Its running accuracy is very high and accurate, but the more you spam, the more innacurate it wil be. Its penetration is also very high on armoured enemies what makes Tec-9 a very powerful pistol. Tec-9 is also amazing at close range battles because it is a one shot headshot from around 2 metres, unlike M4A4/M4A1-s, so i reccomend to use it in an eco situation.

Moving on to CT-side pistols which include:
- Usp-s/P2000
- Five-Seven

Usp-s/P2000 is a one shot headshot against enemies without a helmet. Many people use it in pistol round and aim for the enemies head, what is the best option because if you aim for the torso (stomach or chest areas) it will take 6 to 7 shots to kill an armoured opponent at medium range (7 to 10 metres). Its accuracy is alot better than Glock-18 and running and shooting is also quite accurate but i would not reccomend it.

Five-Seven is the most overpowered pistol in the game, I would consider it better than M4A1-s/MA4 due to its amazing armour penetration, its high damage and ammount of skill to use it. It is also a one shot headshot like Tec-9 but in my opinion its easier to use because I always see that it has better accuracy when spamming, but slightly. It is also a good pistol to buy for an eco rounds and is effective in stopping a B rush if you know how to use it.

Last but not least the pistols available for both T-side and CT-side, these include:
- P250
- Dual Barettas
- CZ-75 auto
- Desert Eagle

P250 is a one shot headshot for enemies with a helmet. It is 25 damage to enemies at a 5 metre range with armour, what makes it powerful. It holds 13 bullets so you have to make all the shots count because it is very innacurate at any range. It is the cheapest pistol apart from Glock 18 or usp-s/p2000 which costs only 300$. It is good at holding angles at head height so you can pull the trigger as soon as your enemy steps into your crosshair.

Dual Barettas are the least used pistol in the game because of how innacurate they are and how low the damage is. Fortiunentally its not a one shot headshot pistol but it hols as much ammunition as AK-47, so you can just spam your enemy and damage him as much as you can because the pistol's are very innacurate no matter how slow you tap (obviously they are if you dont shoot for 3 seconds).

CZ-75 auto is a full automatic pistol with 12 rounds. Its damage is as high as AK-47's and is only 500$. The downside of it is that it takes long to take out (2 to 2.5 seconds) where any other pistol will be already missing around 5 rounds and most likely kill your enemy.

Desert Eagle may seem accurate but its not. it is less accurate than AK-47 and not the best weapon to use at long range (eg "long" on Dust 2) but you may pul off a headshot if youre crouching. It is the most expensive pistol worth 700$ but has high Damage and decent armour penetration. For example on Dust 2 at "long" on an unarmoured enemy with 2 shots you will deal 70-85 damage but with an armoured enemy, you will deal 60-70 damage. Its 2 hits at around 5 metre range what is good if your enemy is crouching and spraying his rifle, or useless if your enemy is rushing you with a P90.
Shotguns
Similarly in the above Section, i will focus on T-side shotgun first:
- Sawed-Off

Sawed-Off is amazing in holding small angles like on Dust 2 "lower tunnels" by the box. you basically put your crosshair where you will have time to react at head height, what will be a one hit kill. its jump accuracy is almost as good as MAG-7's what is useful in some situations. Sawed-Off is personally my favourite shotgun for holding places like I have mentioned above.

On CT-side there is also only one shotgun:
- Mag-7

MAG-7 is know mostly for its high jumping accuracy. its damage is decent at 5 metre range (30 to 40 damage against armoured enemies). It is good for holding "banana" on inferno as a CT when standing my "sandbags". Not much to say... Aim for the head and you will be ok.

Now the shotguns available for both T-side and CT-side:
- Nova
- XM1014

Nova is pretty much a sniper shotgun with low damage when comparing to all other shotguns, however its good for long range (10 metre) headshots where you will probably kill your enemy. Its jumpshhot accuracy is as good as XM1014's what means its terrible. The only benefits of it are its range and price (1200$)

XM1014 is a fully automatic shotgun, what is extremely useful in running and shooting at close and medium distances. Because it is fully automatic, it has a recoil pattern like everything that is automatic in this game, but its really easy to learn off, you just pull down every shot a slight bit and your shots wil be accurate.
Snipers
I will put the two autosnipers together because they are both pretty much the same, but from my research, G3SG1 will take longer to reload, unlike SCAR-20 which reloads 0.5 seconds faster. Another difference is that when you hit your enemy with SCAR-20, he will move slower, and with G3SG1 he will move faster, the difference is that with SCAR-20, he will move 1/3 times slower. Apart from these two differences, the damage, accuracy is the same.

Now i will focus on the snipers available for both T-side and CT-side:
- ssg08
- AWP

Ssg08 is a hard sniper to master, but once you get everything right, you wil be like a god with it. It is a one hit to the head or two hits to the body of armoured enemy. the big thing that goes with ssg08 is its jumping accuracy. when you jump, you are at the peak of your jump and you shoot, you will see that the accuracy is almost dead on point. It can be extremely useful at "mid boxes" on Mirage where you can kill your enemy in "window" or "sniper nest" (however you want to call it).

AWP is the most powerful weapon in the game, it is a one hit to the body, but one shot to the leg will give you around 85 damage (depending on the distance, but it does not matter too much). Once you master AWP you will be unstopable due to its damage and great accuracy.
Assult Rifles
As always, T-side first:
- AK-47
- SG553
- Galil AR

AK-47 is the most commonly used weapon in Counter Strike history along with the AWP. It is a one shot headshot ant any range even if the enemy is wearing a helmet. It has high armour penetration and is more accurate tha the Desert Eagle. Its spray pattern is medium-difficulity to learn which is sideways 7 and first 5 to 7 shots are quite accurate when comparing with the next 20 shots. You will see in pro games that there is always an ak on the T-side what shows that it is one of the best weapons to use.

SG553 is a unique weapon because it literally ignores armour on enemies, which means that you will deal the same ammount of damage to enemies that are with or without armour. It is often used by players with lower skill level because of its scope. When you are zoomed in, the accuracy increases grately than when you are not zoomed in. Its damage is also very high, bit higher than AK-47's.

Galil AR is a good rifle to use on anti-eco rounds because it gives decent damage (4 shots to torso where with AK-47 its 3 shots to torso at the same range). It is cheaper than P90 so if you are a person that does not like to rush, I woukd reccomend it.

And now CT-side:
- M4A4/M4A1-2
- AUG
- FAMAS

M4A4/M4A1-s are used as often as AK-47 in the game. They are weaker than the AK-47, giving approxiometly 20 damage per shot where AK-47 gives 35 damage per shot and are not a one shot headshot. The jumping accuracy is slightly better than on the AK-47 and both rifles are worth 3100$ (400$ more than AK-47).

AUG is an easy rifle to use where you pull your crosshair streight down for 7 to 10 shots and all shots will land in the same area, then the recoil gets a bit more complicated. The aug has more damage than the M4's and less than AK-47. It has a scope which improves the accuracy, like the SG553.

FAMAS is the hardest weapon to use, unless you use the burst mode. The recoil pattern is a "zig-zag" shape, which changes fast and the accuracy is terrible. The first shot on the burst mode is super accuratem but the second two shots are not too accurate. When buying famas, I would reccomend camping at a longer distance with a burst or at short distance with full-auto mode.
Light Machine Guns (LMG)
There are only 2 Light Mchine Guns in the game:
- Negev
- M249

The story with Negev is long because before April 2017, the gun was in competitive mode with a recoli pattern, where now it is fully changed. First 15 rounds are random and the rest of the magazine is dead on point (like a beam). Currently Negev is being tested in competitive mode and soon will be removed back to deathmatch and arms race again.

M249 is not the best weapon to use in competitive due to its price (5200$) and its hard to master recoil pattern (easier than FAMAS). It is a one shot headshot against enemies without a helmet. I personally used it only a few times during my experience and i dont have much to say about it.
Sub-Machine Guns
The only Sub-Machine gun on T-side is:
-MAC-10

Mac-10 is the cheapest Sub-Machine gun in the game which costs only 1050$. it is good for eco or force rounds. It has good accuracy when running and reoil pattern is easy enough to master.

The only Sub-Machine gun on CT-side is:
-MP9

MP9 has the best jumping accuracy apart from ssg 08. its damage is as bad as Glock-18 so I would reccomend buying something better like UMP-45.

On to the Sub-Machine guns available on both sides
- UMP-45
- MP7
- PP-Bizon
- P90

UMP-45 is the most overpowered gun in the game in my opinion. The best way to use it is jumping around the corner when you hear an enemy. The accuracy is really good, the price is amazing for how overpowered it is (1200$) and the damage is super high for a Sub-Machine gun which is 20-25 damage for an armoured enemy.

MP7 is a decent Sub-Machine gun which requires more skill than other Sub-Machine guns. Its jump accuracy is the second worst form Sub-Machine guns apart from P90, but its damage is like UMP-45

PP-Bizon is another Glock-18 like weapon. it holds the most ammunition from all Sub-Machine guns (64 rounds) and costs only 1400$. It could stop a B rush on Dust 2 if the enemies did not buy Tec-9's

P90 is a Silver weapon used in rushing on site while constantly spraying and praing. Its damage is good, it holds 50 rounds and is worth 2350$ what makes it the most expensive Sub-Machine gun. It is effective at low levels where players are not skilled but the higher the rank the less effective it will get
