This section lists all of the features this mod adds to the base game in alphabetical order and explains how they work.

• Colonies

• Houses

Nova Aetas has a house system, where you can buy a house, which gives you prestige, then rent it for weekly money; or rent a house for yourself, which serves no purpose since you get nothing from it.

• Influence

Influence is a system that gives you more interactions on lords than the vanilla game. You gain influence weekly. You can spend influence on many things such as improving your relations with a lord. Joining a faction resets your influence to zero.

• Prestige

In Nova Aetas, there are 3 main classes : The Lower class, the Middle class and the Nobility.
These classes' purpose are to make swearing fealty to a lord or king harder.
By example, you cannot swear fealty to a king, and join a faction, if you are of the Lower class. You can only do so by being in the Nobility and fighting your desired faction's enemies, or by going around the class system by becoming a mercenary then joining a faction when your influence with the desired faction is high enough.
Each main classes have their sub-classes. You progress higher in these sub-classes by gaining prestige. You gain prestige by :

• buying houses;
  
• defeating enemies;
  
• giving money to the guildmaster for guildhall upgrades;
  
• by conquering a castle or city, or building your own castle (you will automatically gain the highest sub-class, which is based on your faction title (King, Konungr, Sultan, Doge, ...)).

This section lists all the factions in Nova Aetas, gives a resume of their troops and income at the start of the game and explains how this faction deals with other factions.

The Kingdom of Swadia is ruled by King Cedrus.
Its color on the map is orange.
