I have no clue how much work this is, but I thought you may be interested (ignore if not)
The mod I am referring to is Elves of Stellaris Gigastructures Art Pack.

Unfortunately no matter how I try, the gigastructure ringworld still stay the same

From what I know, once you constructed megastructure, it's won't change based on your replaced graphical_culture, it's stay the same as previous ones
and I stated before, I haven't touched on Gigastructure ringworld part yet
I'm not sure if I am helping or not. Sorry if this info isn't helpful.
gfxculture fall_materialist changes the culture somewhat successfully.
After switching the cutlure, my ringworlds did take the Materialist FE's appearance. However, when you build the habitats for the next three ringworlds (Titanic, Behemoth, Gargantuan), it shows the green outline of the Fallen Ringworld but spawns normal ones instead when finished
