Compatible with 2.6+

2.6 update - Fixed some ship icons on the fleet screen. Some buttons still need recolouring. Still need to take a look at the federations screen since I haven't seen that yet.

This mod is a UI recolour, giving it a more neutral, darker look.

Alternate Icons - changes the look of ethic, trait and civic icons.
Blue Buttons - changes outline of buttons from light grey to light blue.
1080 Overhaul UI Compatibility Patch by Dr Maple.
Dark UI and Planetary Diversity Compatibility Patch by Hype365.
Expand Colours Patch and Improved Music Player Patch both by Shredtilldeth.

Save-game friendly - turning it on and off is safe through the same game.
Achievment compatible.
Will work fine with almost any mod.

Replaced most UI textures with the silver and grey theme.
Icon changes now in a separate mod linked above.
Colour-coded messages:
-Blue for non-threatening diplomatic messages.
- Red for militaristic/threatening message (war, invasion, insults, revolts).
- Green for notable domestic events.
- Grey for unimportant matters.
Colour-coded alerts:
- Red for urgent issues (too many core systems, food shortages etc).
- White for ignorable issues.

There are a few textures - mostly icons and buttons - to update.

If anyone is having problems with misaligned icons while using NSC2, you need a compatibility patch.

Try searching for "NSC - Dark UI Compatibility Patch".

Thanks for the reference pic, looks like the devs have added another icon (many icons share a texture, so when they add one, old versions become misaligned, easy to fix).

Hi Butt, your mod makes Stellaris, the green is awful. I have the same problem mike with a lot of nines have.
When you have time please fix it.

for some reason the symbol for the stations in the outliner is ever so slightly nudged to the right obscuring the right side of the icon; not quite sure how that could happen, probably a minor issue with image sizes

Shouldn't affect hyperlane colouring as it doesn't touch the file that controls this (this is purely textures - hyperlane colours are controlled by a shader). I'd double check to see if another mod is doing that.

No rush whatsoever!

If I may make just one more suggestion, this mod seems to change the colours of both hyperlanes and fleet movement routes to blue. Perhaps having different colours (like in the vanilla game) would be better, as it's quite difficult to see where your ships are navigating to.

About my previous comment, it does work with 2.7, although the launcher complaints that it is incompatible.

I love this mod, it vastly improves the original UI. The only thing that I find a bit difficult to get used to is the icon for upgrading a fleet (in the dialog that pops up when selecting a fleet). When a fleet upgrade was available, the default UI had a yellow arrow that was very visible, and now the darkish blue arrow is barely any different from the greyed out icon.
