Description
Compatible with 2.2

This mod overhauls the UI to give it a fresh, clean feel and quite different from others out there.

Addons:
Alternate Icons - changes the look of ethic, trait and civic icons.
Blue Buttons - changes outline of buttons from light grey to light blue.
1080 Overhaul UI Compatibility Patch by Dr Maple.
Dark UI and Planetary Diversity Compatibility Patch by Hype365.
Expand Colours Patch and Improved Music Player Patch both by Shredtilldeth.

Save-game friendly - turning it on and off is safe through the same game.
Achievment compatible.
Won't cause any serious issues with any other mod. Incompatibilies are mild and only visual.

Features
  • Replaced most UI textures with the silver and grey theme.
  • Icon changes now in a separate mod linked above.
  • Colour-coded messages:
    Blue for non-threatening diplomatic messages.
Red for militaristic/threatening message (war, invasion, insults, revolts).
    Green for notable domestic events.
    Grey for unimportant matters.
  • Colour-coded alerts:
Red for urgent issues (too many core systems, food shortages etc).
    White for ignorable issues.

Work on this mod is ongoing, so your feedback is very helpful. I'd like to hear your suggestions and of any issues you may be having.

Good to see you got it working Jackwagon.

@Veiden - not sure what you mean about pop modifiers being blue, but I'll double check in next time I'm in game to see if anything looks off.

@Mizati - I'll check it out.

Hey @ButtJunkie, there's a newer UI mod that's becoming fairly popular thanks to changes in 2.2, is there any chance we could get a compatability patch for it?

Thx for the update :)

HAH. So in Mods you actually have to highlight it... fml. Would it have killed them to add a freakin check box?

Thank you for the quick reply! So I installed the mod and my UI is unchanged. Now, I haven't purchased any DLC yet (waiting for a sale)- is there one or more that I need? Or do I perhaps need to be on the beta? Or am I a total noob and is there more to activating it than just subscribing and seeing it on my "Mods" list?

Pop modifiers became blue, they used to be transparent, can this be fixed? https://pp.userapi.com/c845122/v845122124/19ecbf/-A_gLse8ylw.jpg

Updated/added a few textures, such as the side bar and building background.

No you have to subscribe to them separately - they're just listed for convenience.

Does installing this mod install all of the mods listed under "Addons"? Because I don't any of them (I play at 1440p for starters), just the dark UI. Is there a way?

Been away for a bit but I'll check it out again.
