Low FPS with an NVIDIA GPU? Try This!

This guide may help you if you have an NVIDIA GPU and you're experiencing low fps

The problem

This is a very common problem with Nvidia users that have Intel CPU's.

In some systems, Just Cause 2 might run with Intel HD Graphics (integraded CPU card) and it refuses to run with the Nvidia card (dedicated).
To fix this, i'm going to show you a simple way of forcing Just Cause 2 into running with the Nvidia card.

Setting up

The first thing you'll need is Nvidia Inspector. You can either do a google search or download it using this link:

Part 1 - Using Nvidia Inspector

When you finish your download of Nvidia Inspector, open up the zipped folder and extract it's contents in a folder that you chose.
After extracting the contents of the zipped folder, open up Nvidia Inspector (you'll need Admin rights). You'll be greeted with a window that looks like this:


Now click on the icon that appears on the right side of the Nvidia Inspector Window














This window will then pop up:



Now go to the top left corner of the window, where it says "Profiles" and select "Just Cause 2" from the drop down menu.






Now that the Just Cause 2 profile is selected, click on the red cross to delete it, then wait a few seconds and click on Apply Changes (be carefull to not delete other profiles)




Now close both of Nvidia Inspector windows and open the Nvidia Control Panel.

Part 2 - Nvidia Control Panel

This part isn't always required, but i'm gonna show it here in case you need it.


Open Nvidia Control Panel (search it on Windows), and open it up.
After that, go to "Manage 3D settings" and select "Program Settings".

(I'm gonna have to use a google image to show this step since my system is in a foreign language)



Now, from the drop down menu, choose Just Cause 2.
Then, from the second drop down menu select "High-performance NVIDIA processor".



Click "Apply" annnnnd you're done! Start Just Cause 2 and enjoy one of the best action games in a stable frame rate!
