This mod is an attempt to make looting those inferior quality weapons and armor from those bandits actually worthwhile, by allowing the player to melt down the almost useless weapons and armor into very useful ingots and other materials at your local smelter.
Works with these weapon/armor types;
Iron
Steel (including Skyforge Steel)
Elven
Dwarven
Orcish
Ebony
Glass
Daedric (can melt to get a Daedra Heart or Ebony Ingots)
Dragon (gives player either Dragon Scales or Dragon Bone)
Also allows the player to melt Dwarven Spoons, Knives and Forks into Dwarven Metal Ingots.

You must have the correct smithing perk to smelt the items down however. (For balance purposes)

Now also allows the player to melt down jewelry to make ingots or recover gems.
(Fixed bug where unlimited gold ingots could be made)

UPDATED!:
Now allows the player to melt broken weapon parts and arrows at the smelter to recover ingots.
25 arrows make 1 ingot.
1 weapon part makes 1 ingot.

COMING SOON:
Anything suggested to me via a comment, as long as it is a genuinely serious idea and will improve the smelting experience!

IMPORTANT:

It is like this mod, but it is much more realistic, for example:
You cant get Daedra Hearts from Daedric items.
Ingots recovered from weapons and armor halved for most items.
And much more!
