Altdorf Under Siege

Description
Altdorf is the provincial capital of Reikland, and now longtime capital of the Empire. Straddling the merging rivers Reik and Talabec, which then flow out towards Marienburg and the Sea of Claws, Altdorf has long stood as a beacon of civilization in uncertain times.

The city is massive. It has breaches in the north and south walls, and I'm working on adding another to disperse the fighting a bit better. There are several large squares for larger deployments and many streets of varying size.

The park in the north section is forested, allowing for a potential ambush site and the city has a three-part keep on a defensive position in the south.

The center Isle can also act as a fallback point, since it can't be attacked from the outside directly.

There are 6 bridges and 3 gates, with a mannable wall on the north side that has siege ladders deployed against it.

Outside of the walls is a defensive deployment zone as well, allowing either reinforcements or sallying soldiers to take the offensive, and each breach has a spawn outside, should the defenders want to hold there.

There should be enough room for fighting both within and outside of the city, potentially allowing for a few different approaches to battling on this titanic map.

Real walls may be implemented soon. This map was made before anyone knew how to make those work, so given time I'll either add them to this map or make a new one.

Thanks. It was inspired a lot from the CA maps at the time and whatever empire concept art I could find.

Out of curiosity, what inspired you to make this map? Because I don't know why, but it looks almost like a city from another game I played. But I'm only curious. :P

Also, the map looks great!

@Apapse Unfortunately I won't be able to do it to this one, I lost the file when my hard drive was corrupted. I'm looking to help develop a new Altdorf, though, so we'll see how much of the design I can pull from this one.

@blacksand443 Ah, ok. Well it's really good. It's taking me forever to finish my Bretonnian city as I sparesly work on it, but I know how much effort it takes to get detail and correct placement like this.
