XP: How to get it and how to use it.
XP (Experience Points) are earned by tagging zeds. A single point of damage counts as a tag. You do not need to kill a zed to get XP from it. Everyone who tags a zed gets the same XP for it.

Press [ESC] while in-game on the KFRPG server and you will see the modded game Perks Menu. Click the "Perk" tab along the top of the menu.

Acumulate XP to gain levels. With each level you will gain perk points that can be spent on class Perks and Traits.

Selecting a different class along the left will allow you to view/modify the perk points of your various classes. This is also how you change classes in-game.

Once you reach level 200 you will have reached your first Prestige.

Clicking the Prestige button allows you to reset your character and re-level it from the base level all the way back through to 200 again. The difference is that this time through you will gain one additional perk point to spend as you earn a level. This will increase the total amount of perk points you can gain overall.

Player prestige can be seen as a prefix to their current level while in game or on the game status window [TAB]. For example "4-125" would be a character of Prestige 4 and they are currently level 125.

Use the Unload Perk button to refund your perk points. This will maintain your level and Prestige but refund all of your perk points to you if you want to re-allocate them. There is an XP cost to do this but it could be well worth it if you made a mistake allocating your points.

Reset Level is a very drastic thing to do. It will reset you all the way back to level 0 and Prestige 0. Make sure you really want to do this before pressing the Reset Level button.

Refer to the news section of the game menu for the current maximum Prestige.
Waves (Endless)
Each map will consist of 7 standard waves. Each wave is balanced to the players in the match. After the 7 standard waves there is one Boss Wave. The bosses are also balanced to the players on the server. After the Boss wave there is a final Endless wave. The Endless wave will continue to spawn zeds until one of two thing happens:
  • All players are killed
  • A map vote passes (type !mapvote into chat)

No new players can join an Endless wave once it starts. Players in the match can respawn if they have $10,000. [Additional money can be acumulated while dead if you have a turret still alive, with ammo still loaded. See the turret section of this guide]

During the endless wave the kills count up and the spawn limit is infinite.
Regen Perks
There are 3 regeneration perks. Ammo, Health and Armor Regeneration. Until you reach Prestige 1 you can only have one regen perk. Once you reach Prestige 1 you can purchase a second regen, but only after you have reached level 100. At Prestige 5+ you can purchase a third regen once you have reached level 150.

Ammo Regeneration will periodically cause you to regenerate some ammo up to your ammo cap for each weapon. All of your weapons will regenerate ammo, but not your hand grenades.

Health/Armor Regenerate will periodically regenerate a portion of you health or armor respectively up to your cap.

Turrets
The turret is a custom addition to the game. In order to build a turret you must first purchase a Sentry Turret hammer (looks like the pulverizer). Once you have the hammer, equip it and you should see the help text on your screen with a quick overview of how to use the hammer. Find your turret's new home and hold your [alternate fire[ to see an image of what your turret will look like when you place it. Once you have everything lined up, release your [alternate fire] and a turret should appear.

When placing your turret, watch the bottom middle of you screen for any announcements regarding the turret status. If your location is too close to another turret you will get a message indicating so. Also, there can only be a maximum of 12 turrets on the map at a time. If the maximum turrets have been reached a message here will indicate that as well.

While equipped, you hammer will allow you to heal any turret on the map. You [primary fire] the hammer to heal a turret. If you [alternate fire] your turret you will instantly destroy/sell it. Be careful you don't accidentally destroy your own turret.

Turrets can be upgraded. If you stand on top of the turret you will get a message offering you to press [e] to "Accept Objective". This will take you into the turret menu. Here you will find the available Levels, Upgrades, and Ammunition menus. Upgrade your turret for maximum power and effectiveness. Remember to keep track of your ammo supply.

  • Anyone can upgrade, re-supply, and repair anyone's turret.
  • Turrets can generate XP tags and Dosh for you.
  • Turrets are considered "off-perk" for all classes so consider upgrading your off-perk damage to improve your turret.

It is possible to place a turret i a position you can no longer access (either to upgrade or destroy). You need to disconnect from the server and reconnect to remove your turret.
Zed Announcements
"By fire be purged" - Husk

"Meeeat" - Meatgrinder

"I am power incarnate" - Tyrant

"Now you feel pain" - Puke Pus

"You are not prepared" - King Tyrant

[Foghorn Sound] - Golden Clot Spawn

"It's me!" - Gilded Clot Spawn
Events and Event Maps
An event is when the Golden Clots spawn, signaled by a "Loud Horn" sound. An "Event Map" is when there will be an unusually large amount of events happening during each wave of the map.

The Golden Clots are worth the highest amount of XP in the game. Be quick and tag a Goldent Clot before they are killed. Golden Clots will also despawn if they are not killed fast enough (without giving anyone XP).

I don't know if you plan on updating this guide ever, but it definitely helps with new players asking questions. It would be nice if you updated this whenever the server gets big updates.

That's a pretty great and detailed guide for the KFRPG mod, good job dude.

You should go post this guide on the forums, I'm sure it'd be useful and more visible for new players out there, considering how I found it myself just by pure luck I think a lot of other people might be searching all this info without being able to find it XD
