Introducing Naomi, the character with a conscience! She's got a few things to help her out in your adventures: Shoulder Pals, Heart-based stat changes, and Heart-based transformations. Repentance adds even more features but I'll cover the features common between both versions of the mod fist.

To start, Naomi is accompanied by her Shoulder Angel and Shoulder Devil. They always stick over her shoulders and occasionally help you by shooting tears. They get stronger and shoot faster if you pick up Soul Hearts and Black Hearts, respectively.

Secondly, Naomi's stats are affected by Soul Heart, Black Heart, and Bone Heart counts. For every whole Soul Heart you have, all of Naomi's stats get a minor increase. For every whole Black Heart you have, most of Naomi's stats are decreased, with the exception of Attack which is increased and *multiplied*. Bone Hearts are less common than the other 2 so in return they give an even bigger stat boost than either of the other hearts (though lack the damage multiplier from black hearts). Depending on what hearts you find you could end up with surprising stat changes!

Finally, Naomi will get special transformations if you can reach certain HP thresholds. These transformations give both Naomi and her Shoulder Pals new abilities, and best of all they keep the new abilities even if Naomi's HP drops below the threshold for the transformations!

Purity Transformation
Granted for: ~ 6 Soul Hearts ~

The path of the purehearted, this is likely the easiest transformation to achieve due to the abundance of ways to get soul hearts. A safe transformation that only gives bonuses but doesn't offer overwhelming advantages.

- Naomi gains flight
- All enemies have a tiny chance of dropping a Soul Heart when defeated (there is a large cooldown after this happens before it can trigger again)
- Shoulder Angel shots become Godhead shots
- Naomi cannot gain Sin or Death Transfortions anymore (Duality and True forms are still accessible)

Sin Transformation
Granted for: ~ 6 Black Hearts ~

The path of the mischievous, this is a risky transformation with high potential payoff. The stat descreases from Black Hearts are offset by an overwhelming damage increase and an ability that can trigger on enemy death far more frequently than the other forms' abilities.

- Naomi gains a flat 1.5 damage increase
- Naomi gains Goat Head (Repentance only)
- All enemies have a small chance of triggering the Necronomicon effect on death (there is a minor cooldown after this happens before it can trigger again)
- Should Devil shots become Eye of Belial shots
- Naomi cannot gain Purity or Death Transformations anymore (Duality and True forms are still accessible)

Death Transformation
Granted for: ~ 6 Bone Hearts ~

An odd path, this is one of the harder forms to reach due to how uncommon Bone Hearts are. You won't be able to reach most other forms from here, but the form is fairly powerful to make up for it. As bone hearts offer even stronger stat boosts than Soul Hearts it can still be a desirable endgame form.

- Naomi loses Shoulder Angel and Shoulder Devil
- Naomi gains Ghost Buddy. Ghost Buddy is significantly stronger than the Shoulder Pals and fires Bone shots from directly in front of Naomi
- Naomi gains Slipped Rib
- All enemies have a miniscule chance of dropping a Bone Heart and triggering Book of the Dead effect when defeated (there is a large cooldown after this happens before it can trigger again)
- Naomi cannot gain Purity, Sin, or Duality Transformations anymore (True form is still accessible)

Duality Transformation
Granted for: ~ 6 Soul Hearts, 6 Black Hearts ~
Also Granted for: ~ 4 Red Hearts, 4 Soul Hearts, 4 Black Hearts ~

The reward for dedicated health management, this form requires a full health bar with specific counts of hearts to reach. The combination of all the bonuses from Purity and Sin transformations make this form more than enough to keep you going, but what if you could push it further...?

- Naomi gains all of the tranformation bonuses of Purity and Sin transformations
- Naomi gains Duality

True Transformation
Granted for: ~ 3 Red Hearts, 3 Soul Hearts, 3 Black Hearts, 3 Bone Hearts ~

The hardest form to achieve with enormous payoff if you can manage it. This transformation alone can carry a run, but you'll have to work to reach it.

- Naomi gains all bonuses of every other transformation, and amplifies some of their effects
- Naomi has Shoulder Angel, Shoulder Devil, and Ghost Buddy and all 3 are at maximum power regardless of heart count and retain their bonuses from other transformations
- Naomi's stat modifications from hearts are all treated as if she has 7 of those hearts if she has less than that many of them (giving larger stat boosts than can be achieved normally)

Repentance Version Differences
================================================
While reworking the mod for Repentance, I decided to factor in all other heart types. I also added a new item to help with managing health to aim for the transformation you want.
- Rotten Hearts give familiars a chance to spawn flies, with a higher chance and fly cap per rotten heart
- Having an Eternal heart gives familiars a chance of firing Holy Light shots
- Golden Hearts give familiars a small chance of firing tears that apply the Midas Touch effect, with a higher chance per golden heart
- Broken Hearts are Wild Cards! If you're just short of a transformation, each Broken Heart can count as 1 of another type of heart. Priority is True - Duality - Purity - Sin - Death
- New Pocket Item: Sort Feelings. It has three states, Attune Purity/Attune Sin/Attune Death. When you use it, it will sort hearts so that they are grouped together by type, with the first ones being based on what you attune.
- Boosted effects of Death Transformation
- Added Goat Head to Sin Transformation
- Filled Red Heart containers (not filled Bone Hearts) will boost the stats of Shoulder Pals at a rate of (2 Filled Red Hearts = 1 Heart that boosts Pal). This means if you only ever pick up Health Ups, your Shoulder Pals still improve as long as you maintain health, though not as much as they would with their heart types. They also don't gain transformation boosts from Red Hearts.
