How to counter saboteurs?

Here i will explain you what to do if survivors destroy your hooks, so you can stop complaining and making useless nerf requests

First step : Check if they have toolboxes

While you're in the lobby, check if any player has a toolbox.
A toolbox looks like this.

If you see a toolbox, you're probably about to face a saboteur.
And if you dont know how to punish them, this guide is for you.

Step 2 : Get the "Iron Grasp" perk

Then, what you need is Iron Grasp, level up your killer and you'll see the perk after some time.
Iron Grasp 3 is better than Iron Grasp 1 and 2.

Step 3: See if they destroy your hooks

If they destroy your hooks, just be aware that Iron Grasp will be really usefull.

Step 4 : Hit a survivor 2 times

To kill a survivor, you have to hit it twice.
If you can't, git gud.

Step 5 : Take the survivor

Press space to take the survivor, make sure you're on him.

Step 6 : Go to the basement

Now that you're holding the survivor with Iron Grasp, it will be much harder for the survivor to escape and you'll have much more time to go to the basement.

Tip : Avoid pallets, because if you get stun, you'll rage and punch your keyboard.
(And you could break it and won't be abble to play anymore)

Step 7 : Hook the survivor

To hook the survivor in the basement, you go in front of the hook and you press space.

Step 8 : Camp/Don't Camp

I know saboteurs are annoying and there's a temptation to camp them, if you want to camp, there are two options :

-You go out, you camp far away looking at the basement stairs to see if a survivor is going to save his mate, then you go kill this altruistic prick.
-You use Insidious and you camp in a corner of the basement, when a survivor comes to save his mate, you grab him while he's saving.


OR

Even if they are damn saboteurs, you go far away, looking for other survivors.

What if i don't have Iron Grasp and i'm facing saboteurs?

Once there is one on the floor, you look at him far away, you use insidious (or nurse calling) and you wait for another survivor to come help him, try to get everyone on the floor and let them die.

OR

You put the surv on the floor and you keep stepping on him until he dies. (You're wasting a lot a time but sometimes, it feels like they deserve it).

Now that the hooks respawn, Saboteur is not used anymore by survivors.

Good guide, however I havent seen Iron Grasp 2 in the Bloodweb even by playing almost 300 hours and most of the time Killer I'd bet. Might change now with 1.4.1. though, dunno.
And picking 2 Perks out of 4 based on Toolboxes seem to be kinda wrong in the first place. However right now I decided to stop playing Killer anyway, as it doesn't feel rewarding and rather frustrating whatever I can manage to achieve during a game. Fingers crossed for upcoming changes.
