The right cfg for you.
First you need to find the right cfg. I will show you a few ones and what I use. Also I will list you my laptop specs.
- Intel Pentium 4Core 2,4GHz
- 4 GB ram
- Nvidia Geforce 920m

So with this specs and with cfg I will list below I get around 30 - 40 fps (15-25 without it).

(For FPS measurement I use Fraps)
WARNING: This will make the game look incredible trashy.
TF2Mate.
I am using TF2Mate for my cfg. Click on this link[clugu.com] and go to the site to download the file you need.

First you will see the Graphics config options.
Here you will choose graphic options for your cfg. I use [Chris' highframes (default) // Enhances TF2 performance greatly while keeping the look relatively sharp.].

All other settings I use default so I don't change anything if you don't know what you are doing.

When you are done just download the file by clicking SAVE TO DISK.

Then you have copy the launch options that are listed on the end of the page . This is very IMPORTANT!
There is a video if you don't know how to do it:
Copy the files.
Now you have to copy the files in the cfg folder of a Team Fortress 2 files.

You can aces this files by going Local disk>Program files (x86)>Steam>steamapps>common>Team Fortress 2>tf>cfg

Now copy the downloaded files in this destination.

DON'T FORGET TO MAKE A CFG BACKUP!!
How I use it.
I personally don't use all the files you get in the pack you downloaded and also I don't use all the launch options.

I don't like the -dxlevel 81 (put game from DirectX 9 to 8) because of the colors of the ranks so I don't use it (the colors don't show). But it helps alot if you do.
If you used it once, it won't change the settings on DirectX 9 if you delete it. you need to write -dxlevel 90 to get it back to normal.

Also I don't use aliases.cfg and binds.cfg so the graph doesn't show.
Other cfg's or mods.
One of the other mods is to disable the in-game hats Click[www.teamfortress.tv].

Team Fortress Modification Manager Click[gamebanana.com].

TF2 Oldschool (performance pack) Thread V2 Click[facepunch.com].

Complete Phongless Pack Click[gamebanana.com].

Recommended by viewers:

- Comanglia[www.teamfortress.tv]

- Rhapsody's Performance Config[rhapsodysl.github.io]
End.
When you copy all the cfg files and all, you may experience change of your default settings.

For anyone who has trouble removings the recommanded files in this guide just go to your Steam Library, search for Team Fortress 2 then right click, press "Properties", then launch options command and then type "-autoconfig", before all that delete the files you've installed and the "config.cfg" file in the "cfg" folder of "Team Fortress 2" It'll put the default settings (Graphics & Binds included) in your game at your next Launch.

I also use Rhapsody's, and I also use another thing that disables all explosions from projectiles, [rocket, grenade, etc.] Surprisingly it works on Valve servers too. I'm not entirely sure what it's called but it's a script, not a config

You are missing no explosion smoke script thats very useful and saves frames at the same time. Heres a video made by a friend of mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCVCpzjoRtE

If you dont have custom hud, create folder called "NoSmoke" to your custom folder, and paste the nosmoke script there :)
