Extended (rebuilt) Winterhold v0.6

Description
This mod is intended to make Winterhold more inviting and adds more NPCs and structures (Some not complete yet).

Future versions will contain Blacksmiths, and alchemists. My aim is to make Winterhold a place that you don't avoid like the plague.

This mod is now on hold until the creation kit is updated for Dawnguard use. There are a few things I want to have working on dawnguard that are not at the moment. For that reason the next update will need the Dawnguard DLC to play. My appologies to those that do no have it as of next update I will be uploading a working version for those without dawnguard at a later date.

v0.6 Changes

There is a new Dunmer in the building that is the alchemists store however there is currently a bug which makes him not sell anything even within his own shops hours.
Although I did not fully agree with many commenters egotistical stance of how this mod is lore breaking I did find some merit in their claims that it made NPCs talking about the destruction out of place. As such until I reach a decision on how to manipulate the dialog to my liking I added some destruction to winterhold to make the NPCs claims seem more legit. These destroyed areas may be removed in the future but for now they are intended to stay.

v0.5 Changes

Blacksmith added, He provides training and is also a vendor
Smithing workstations added
Fixed several Navmeshing issues
Made new NPCs more radiant
Added 2 Guards to the rebuilt areas
New building added.. To be Alchemist
Made environment more attractive
Changed College event items so that they will now work in the rebuilt version of Winterhold
Interior of Blacksmith added

v0.2 Changes

Completed full exterior of the rebuilt Winterhold
Added 4 new interiors (Only 1 new avalible at this time)
Fixed several Navmesh issues causing guards to bug out/ Walk into walls
Altered external terain to make it look more natural (paths)
Added a few NPCs (only 1 extra NPC active at this time)

v0.1 Includes

Part completed external
Rough layout of new Winterhold
Removed destroyed buildings and replaced with full ones.
Added a new NPC which at the moment does nothing.

Next version will include

Completed interiors complete with navmeshing
Access to said interiors
Fully functional NPCs (Vendors)
Additional dragon landing locations (At the moment they will not land on any of the new scructures

Final goals of the mod
Add 4 -5 diffucult quests
Give new NPCs full radiant AI features

Things to know!

This mod will likely not be compatible with other Winterhold mods due to terain changes.
Please comment bugs below and they will be fixed

Known Bugs

New NPCs will sometimes walk into things for no reason. (Navmesh issue)
For some reason guards that attack you can sometimes shoot arrows through the new buildings.

it is a great mod and i finally start to like winterhold!! it's not simply one street anymore, but actually a city. however, i have noticed 2 bugs in the houses:
the first bug is an unsigned home near the blacksmith, but i'm sure you have plans to do something with it
the second bug is the alcemist, when you enter his shop (during daytime), he wasn't selling and he said that i was not supposed to be in here
those are the only bugs i found, besides that, it is a great mod

so is your mod good to go?

Can you add a buyable player home? I'm annoyed with mods that just give you the home through killing something, getting the key to the home, or just giving it to you for free.

Well, I am finishing up the mod I made to rebuild Winterhold. In order to use this persons mod I was hoping o get permission, but since he doesn't or hasn't responed, I am reworking his stuff to my own and remaking it completely. So my mod will not be anything like his accpet the postion of the blacksmiths and his alchemist shop. I am changing everything. So you won't be able to run his mod with mine. Mine will be a totally new Rebuilt Winterhold. It will stay within the lore. So far it is awesome! Wait until you see Winterhold in all it's new glory!

Did the person that built this mod stop improving it? He hasn't updated it in over a year. I ask this because I have built onto his mod and improved it even further. Is there anyway to contact him to ask his permission to put my expanded version of his mod up for people to use. Mine includes new docks, stables, new shops, more houses and NPC's. This mod also includes new mages robes. One of the new shop keepers sales them. She specializes in all things magical. Plus lots more! My Winterhold is a great city once again(as it use to be) and a major trade hub and city of learning.

I added this Mod that in-game is post civil war and on the Imperial side. My problem is that I am having Winterhold guards kill Imperial guards. Are you aware of this problem, if so is there a fix in the works?

I love this mod and I hope you continue working on it. I hope that one of the future fixes for this Mod include working on repairing the bridge to the College. Also, unlike some I believe that the citizens of Winterhold would have repaired their city at least as much as they were able and so this *IS* a lore friendly mod.

Please keep up the good work.
