Description
Hello there, and welcome to Belief! This mod is inspired by the game Path of Exile, where each of the items is a reference to a certain aspect of the game.

So far (Version v1.1), the mod contains five unique passive items and a playable character:

BELIEF: Provides a damage and speed up, along with a small damage multiplier (1.15x). Also converts all current heart containers to soul hearts. Can be found in angel and treasure rooms, along with Boss Rosh.

GOLDEN KEY: Gives the player a key, a golden key, and a luck up (+1). Can be found in shops, secret rooms, and from beggars.

THRONE: Spawns 4-5 blue flies on pick up, along with always having an enemy charmed in a room with enemies to charm. If a charmed enemy dies, the charm then is applied to another enemy (known to behave strangely with some multistaged enemies). Found in treasure rooms.

NIGHTMARE: Damage up, along with a damage multiplier (1.4x). Converts all heart containers to black hearts, and all future health upgrades become black hearts. Permanent Curse of Darkness. Can be found in treasure and curse rooms, along with devil deals.

CULLING STRIKE: Instantly kills any enemy in a room that falls to or below 10% of their maximum hitpoints. Can be found in treasure and challenge rooms, along with Boss Rush.

And the character, MALACHAI: Starts with Nightmare, but with low base speed and range. Starting HP is two black hearts, and due to having Nightmare, cannot obtain heart containers. Malachai also cannot get angel rooms.

I do plan to update this mod fairly actively, about once or twice a week. If you do give the mod the try, I'll be more then happy to take any feedback, whether it be something not working or simply a suggestion to help balance a certain item.

Thank you for looking through this, and if you do try the mod, feel free to give feedback!
